Connect Keyboard To 2 Computers

The switch is very easy to use and does everything I want and need. With the only setup being to connect your monitor, keyboard and mouse, along with the computers you want to connect with. I would recommend this switch to anyone needing a KVM switch that handles DVI along with audio from all computers.

I use these for schools to connect their computers to their audio systems.

This IOGEAR GCS110-4 4-Port KVMP switch is my first purcahse of this type of gear...should have bought one years ago. I had checked out one of the other brands, but the manufacturer's web-site had the same photo and description for two models, very confusing. I am using this switch with three computer, Win7, Win8.1 and a Linux rig. I keep the fourth port open for testing other computers, no need to connect one being tested to a separate keyboard and mouse setup. This switch allows me to easily switch between computers via keyboard shortcuts. I have a Logitech Keyboard and Mouse which share a single wireless USB dongle, plugging the dongle into the keyboard USB port of the monitor area of the switch allows me to use the keyboard and mouse on all computers. I did have to uninstall the Logitech software which allowed for custom keyboard layout (volume up/down, next track, etc.) as it seemed to conflict with the way the KVMP switch emulated Keyboard and Mouse Control...not an issue for me in this case. I am not a hard-core gamer, thus do not have a mouse with 92 buttons on it..more of a FPS and Flight Sim guy here. I like the fact that I can switch the keyboard/mouse, Vidoe and USB separately from the audio, that is I can have music playing on one computer, switch the Keyboard/Mouse, Video, and USB to another computer and still hear the music from the first computer. I have all my external drives and printers connected directly to the Win7 computer working as a server for all my data. I have a USB hub connected to the KVMP input which is accessed by whichever computer I am using for such things as my web-cam, joystick, multimedia card reader, and ID CAC Card Reader. I started taking IT classes and now I can easily do remote access, learned how to access Windows Shared Folders from the Linux box...and more, having the computers side by side with one control system is a Godsend. I would recommend this switch to anyone considering such a purchase.

Got this to go between an M.2 SSD external case (which only came w/ a USB-C to USB-C cord) and computers that don't have USB-C. Data rate support of full USB 3.1 gen2 was important to avoid limiting the SSDs put in the case and lots of adapters force it down to lower speeds, even USB2.0.

Works great to share one VGA Display with two computers, also can share a keyboard and mouse with the two computers.

I use this to switch the monitor, mouse, keyboard and sound between 2 computers. It's been working flawlessly.

I use cables to connect keyboard to iMac. Works like a charm.

Using it to connect a keyboard into a mixing console. It's doing what it's supposed to so far.

I like the feel of this keyboard a lot, and have a few of them for various computers. One failed but generally they are great. and cordless. and self-charging.

THis is a game changer for me. The monitor is great for work and games. Also very useful when have 2 computers to connect.
