I have a wifi only laptop that I wanted to use to test a newly purchased IP camera on. The adapter allowed me to connect a ethernet cable to my IP camera for testing. After giving the adapter a IP address in the same range as the camera my system connect with the camera perfectly. Add Gigabit Ethernet port to laptop. The Yoga 6 build-in Wi-Fi is unstable, & it doesn't come with Ethernet port. Adding this adapter would allow it to connect the network with stable wired connection. With the extra USB ports, you can connect more accessories such as wireless mouse & keyboard. 5 |
