I was aware that this is a 2013 product, but I purchased it anyway because I wanted to connect my speakers (Logitech Z-5500) via an Optical cable, instead of the analog conection that my PC mainboard has. Windows 10 recognizes the card with no trouble, and the Creative driver still works after all these years. 5 |

My use case is for work. I have a Macbook Pro and the monitor is used as a second monitor. It provides charging for my notebook, and it allows me to connect peripherals like mouse and keyboard via the back of the monitor. The built in speakers sounds fine, but mostly I listen to spoken words, so I can't attest to how good the speakers are. I don't have a ear for music anyway. I mainly use the extra monitor as space for software development. One drawback is that there's only two USB-A connections in the back. In order to connect additional peripherals, I had to use an extra dongle. Otherwise, the monitor works fine. 5 |

I'm using this to connect and HDMI monitor to a DisplayPort on my Chromebox. Works like it should and transmits audio as well to the speakers inside the monitor. I would recommend this for anyone needing to hook HDMI into a DisplayPort source. 5 |

This 2.1 system by far is the best set-up I have ever owned from Logitech. Speakers are crisp and clean, lows are low and highs or high. I use these while gaming, as my PA speakers when I'm making my style of music(electro house) on FLStudio and mixing while using my DJ Pioneer DDJ-800 controller.
