This switch works so well I bought a second one. Plug it in, connect the ethernet cables and it works flawlessly!

After upgrading all Ethernet connections in home with multiple CAT7 cables from Monoprice, noticed an average increase download streaming speed of 10-15 Mbps on previously slower devices rubbing on home network, including Firestick with VPN active.

I needed a few extra ethernet ports near my desk but did not want to run multiple cables. This is PERFECT for my use. The switch integrated perfectly into my existing Unifi network and is fully manageable. Great product at a great price..

I ran out of holes to connect Ethernet cables, so I tried to use wireless. After 4 hours of trying to get a wireless extender to work (Netgear) I opted for wired switch, which took less time to get working than the time I took running Cat6e. It was real plug-n-play, my equipment never knew I changed switches. Did I ever tell you I don't like wireless? I get full 1 GB service anywhere in the house. My longest run is 50 ft.

It just plain works; what else needs to be said? The ports are located at the front of the unit; some, like me, may prefer them at the back. Be sure to connect all the Ethernet cables before connecting the power cord to the electrical outlet.

These provide a good place to connect two ethernet cables outdoors, and provide some surge protection as a bonus.

This is the simple but versatile device that I recommend as a router for all my friends and family, and will also use as an access point for them or small businesses where integrated solutions are too complex for a handful of users. Obviously, line of sight and height is appreciated for more effective communication. Increasing the Tx power on any wireless device will create a noise for other wireless devices. The rest you could choose to remain as default or configure more.

I use this with a 20gbps ethernet SFP+ backbone uplink from the UniFi SFP+ Aggregation Switch. My LAN has never been faster!
