Connect Netgear Extender To Spectrum Router

If you're looking for a reliable router to replace the heavily locked down WiFi 6 router Spectrum provided, then look no further than the Netgear Nighthawk RAX43. Had spectrum modem (ugh) and Netgear router. Cut cable and added a Netgear modum. Easy set up and connection.

I purchased this router to use as an extender for my primary Synology Router. It was easy to set up and install. Also I had to do was connect it to AC Power and use the mobile app on my phone to complete the set up. There were some updates available which it download and installed.  It functions well and gives me the extended range I wanted. I would recommend this router as an extender, but if you have more than two network devices to connect you will need a switch device. It only has two network connections, which limits its function as your primary router.

Our house was not wired with Ethernet cables and I could not get a wifi signal (I purchased a much needed upgraded router and tried a top of the line extender without any luck) into our garage for a sprinkler control panel. I finally came across reviews for the Netgear Powerline 2000+ and figured I would try them out. I plugged the adapter into our power outlet next to the router and plugged the other one on the other side of the house. I pay for 100 mb and average about 98.3 to 98.5 next to the router. Testing the Netgear Powerline 2000+ I get around 97 to 97.3 from it. Since the speed was so good, I put the adapter in a bedroom next to our garage and turned my old router into an AP and now have 70% signal strength in the garage and backyard. Great product for the price, as I saved $60 over the "high end" extender

The extender paired easily and quickly with my ISP router. NETGEAR support was helpful with questions that I had to get my coverage all set up.

I used to use a router or/and a extender (using existing devices I had) to connect my gaming devices (I like wired connections) in my den from my computer room (through a wall port and attic). I would always have problems though with my iPad or netbook looking for the closest signal which were those devices. They couldn't connect but would interfere with connecting. Finally I decided to get a hub to do the same thing without the interfering and decided on this model. Well after receiving it I just plugged it up and haven't thought about it again. Works flawlessly with no installing or special instructions. Problem solved.

Solved my problems with my Spectrum modem by replacing it with this one from Netgear!

Using with Comcast Xfinity works with no problem. Connect a Netgear R8300 router so I have 5G Connections all over inside house.

This is a fantastic Access Point. You still need a router so this device can allow clients to connect and assign them an IP. Netgear insight portal is convenient and easy to use. Highly recommend it.

Decided to replace my ISP modem/router with the Netgear modem only and connect to an Orbi mesh system for whole house internet. Easy setup.
