Connect Netgear Router To Existing Wireless Network

Synology makes setting up this mesh router fairly simple. Power it on next to your router, use the DS router app and you're up and running in about 15 minutes. I have four of them and they are all wired. So make sure you follow the instructions and connect it wirelessly to the router first, then take it where you want on the network and plug it in. The ability to add a dozen of the MR2200's to my router means that I can create a reliable and fast wireless network that rivals my wired network in terms of square footage and then go beyond the building. My wireless devices automatically drop and connect as I move around. I could not be happier with this device because it is reliable and the range meets all my needs. I have no complaints from my network users. 5 |

I purchased this router to use as an extender for my primary Synology Router. It was easy to set up and install. Also I had to do was connect it to AC Power and use the mobile app on my phone to complete the set up. There were some updates available which it download and installed. It functions well and gives me the extended range I wanted. I would recommend this router as an extender, but if you have more than two network devices to connect you will need a switch device. It only has two network connections, which limits its function as your primary router. 5 |

I have a large first generation Google Wifi network at home. With several 1st gen Google Wifi hooked up to the main router via Ethernet, and two 1st gen Google Wifi operating in wireless mesh-mode. I used this (2nd gen) Google Nest Wifi Router and Point to extend my network, by hard-wiring the router to extend my existing network, and running the Point as a mesh extension. Works well together with my existing network and allows me to roam around the house with my devices. 5 |

I have purchased this router to add to my existing eero 6 setup (router + extender). Adding it to the network was quick and painless. I purchased a router instead of another extender because I needed the ethernet port for accessories and everything worked well plugged in. The eero app is also much nicer than the Linksys one I used in my previous wifi system. 5 |

This is a terrific addition to my recent network upgrade to 10g. It paired up great with my Netgear gaming router and gaming hub. The interface to manage the device is also nice, you get a good visual of options for what is attached and their port speeds. I plan to buy another one this month to complete my project so I would recommend for anyone wanting to upgrade their network. Also has rack mounting accessories. 5 |

NetGear devices has always been my goto when I need a router or modem. Mostly because the company is an industrial leader when it comes to network devices. I recently bought the NetGear Cm1000v2 modem and a nighthawk NetGear router. The Modem design and looks was an attractive feature. The most important buy in for me was the fact that it is a high speed, duo network modem that any gamer will love. The user setting GUI is very simple to navigate that any user can easily make changes without technical knowledge. Lastly, the company’s customer support is world class. I was having issues with my network speed hence I was referring to NetGear by my ISP. The customer service was very professional and ready to ensure the issue get resolved. After the call, the agent called several time during to make sure everything was working great afterwards. 5 |

The C1000 modem replaced an Xfinity router and allowed me to increase my network speed. With the Netgear C1000 modem and Netgear R8500 router, I am running with the best of the bunch. Loving it! 5 |

Bought this one to use as a router/switch in my home network replacing a Netgear Nighthawk model. It's night and day in terms of resources and capabilities, from setting up VLANs and security measures as well as monitoring traffic in my home network and identifying which device is connecting to what and amount of traffic. Tech support is also great and I got a reply the same day I wrote to them with some questions. I'll very likely use Ubiquiti's Protect and cameras when installing this system around my house. 5 |
