That's right, this adapter allows you to connect your Dell Alienware 17 computer (Thunderbolt 3 adapter) to an Apple 27 Thunderbolt display...and it WORKS!!! This Apple Thunderbolt 2 cable, was the cable needed to connect an older desktop MacPro(late 2013) computer to a OWC Thunderbolt 3 docking station(note: a Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 adaptor is needed to connect the computer to a Thunderbolt 3 docking station.
