This adapter worked perfectly to connect my tv, which only had an optical output, to the soundbar.

I received my SRS-NS7 from B&H about a week ago and was totally hooked on it within an hour of starting to use it. However I want to offer some strong advice to those who plan to use one of these while watching TV alongside other viewers. My wife and I normally sit about 12 ft from our TV monitor and typically sit close enough that we rub shoulders. We have a Sonos soundbar under the monitor, with surround sound speakers at each end of our loveseat. I wear hearing aids but Patty does not. The optical output of the TV goes to a splitter with one output going to the soundbar and the other going to the Bluetooth transmitter for the SRS-NS7. With the arrangement described above, we both heard sound from the soundbar and the NS7, and there was enough latency difference to irritate us both. I have a technical background and had anticipated such a latency effect, but had no knowledge of the actual delays with either device. I spoke with an audio expert at B&H, asking for advice about a variable delay device that has optical input(s) and output(s). He could not recommend such a device that is currently available from B&H but did suggest a Felston DD740 that B&H used to carry. I looked up the characteristics of the DD740 and agreed that it seemed to be exactly what I needed. I purchased one from LipFix.com, after talking with their Nick Johnson. It arrived yesterday. After connecting my new DD740 in series with the optical input to the Bluetooth transmitter of the SRS-NS7 and experimenting with the delay, I found that a delay of 55mS yields NO perceptible latency effects that interfere with either what Patty and I hear while watching TV. The bottom line: We both enjoy hearing REALLY EXCELLENT sound, including very clear dialogue, while watching TV together AND I get the benefit of superb sound while editing videos etc. with the SRS-NS7 connected to the Bluetooth of my computer systems. I could not be happier with this purchase! Pete

I got this Bluetooth adapter to expand my desktop with Bluetooth capability to connect to my Bluetooth speaker and Wacom pen tablet board. This adapter works right out of box. Just plug and play. No installation required. It does take up one USB outlet. My Windows 10 OS recognized it right away. It is also backward compatible with my older Bluetooth 3.0 devices. I have not tested it with my Bluetooth headset for Skype calls. I think it should not be any problem.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great little Bluetooth adapter to connect to my audio system. Although my receiver has built-in Bluetooth, it is very finicky to connect to. This unit solved the problem. I like that it has an optical cable connector to make the connection to my receiver.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The output of quality sound is great. You can use HDMI eARC, Optical, and Bluetooth to connect. The eARC works great and allows you to use even old TV to control the volume with remote. No fumbling around for that remote to change sound and another for a channel. Has an output so you can connect a sub for deeper bass. The only thing I noticed on my setup was that the volume limit seemed low to what I was looking for. The test will come in my RV with generator and road noise. Can it outplay those two as the TV alone sure can't.

It's a matter of what output device you connect this cable to. 99% of the time it would be a TV and it will work perfect. I tried to connect camcorders to a production switcher and it didn't work, but not because of the cable clearly.

Heard great things about this player and it has indeed lived up to everything. It has a huge amount of options which lets you really fine-tune things for your particular setup. In my case, I'm using a mini LED 4K TV, so enabled the HDR optimizer to normalize output to 1000 nits. Also set up the unit to handle the chroma processing as it seems to be better than the TV in that department. The physical build of the unit is outstanding. Tray is quite robust and moves very smoothly. Excellent that the remote has a backlight. Also really like the info display to show you exactly what type of signal the player is outputting. And like the HDR info screen as well. There are so many different ways to connect the player to your system. I'm using a single HDMI output which is working very well. I was having lip sync issues, and while this player does allow you to adjust a delay, I have since found that using a delay in my AV receiver leads to a better result. If I couldn't solve the lip sync issue this way, I was then going to look using the two separate HDMI outputs. Glad the single HDMI is working well, but do like having the extra flexibility of different ways to connect this player. Highly recommended; worth every penny!

I use the headphones to listen to TV late at night via bluetooth. Between the Headphones & TV they connect automatically with easy volume controls.

I use them in my living room with my TV and then I can easily connect with Bluetooth from my phone whenever I want to listen to any of my favorite music apps. Not only are they functional but they sound amazing! I did my research beforehand and after having these for a month I can say that I'm extremely happy! The best part is that my wife allowed me to put them in our living room, she loved the speaker design.
