Connect Wifi Access Point To Spectrum Wireless Router

Great router, access point, repeater, etc.. with Wifi 7 router on the way, this is still a contender.

Setup was really easy using my existing wifi router, and this single access point is covering the top two floors of my house (3,200 sqft). Very impressive product!

The Synology RT6600 is a fantastic WiFi 6 Router and WiFi Access Point. Has many features that are for a more professional type of deployment in a SMB type environment while still being user friendly and approachable for just about anybody.

The setup on this is super easy. I was a little worried the mesh points would be troublesome to setup, but all I had to do was plug the router in, then plug the mesh points into the wall. Did a quick update on the touch screen and everything was perfect right off the bat. I have one mesh point setup with 5g that's close to the router and another mesh point setup with 2g because it's a little further away. You don't really need to do much. The app is alright for what it is, it's a little pain in a butt since it points you to connect to a wifi network through the app, but it doesn't connect right. You have to actually open your wifi settings manually to connect. Not a big deal. The app also assumes you know a lot about this stuff but if you're looking at this router I guess you already do.

This is a fantastic Access Point. You still need a router so this device can allow clients to connect and assign them an IP. Netgear insight portal is convenient and easy to use. Highly recommend it.

I needed to connect an outdoor wireless security camera to Wifi but the signal on the main router wasn't strong enough to penetrate a thick masonry wall. The TP-link solved this problem. I set it up inside at the wall needing signal penetration but in line with the router. It worked perfectly - having a booster closer to the camera did the trick.

We use this WR841  as an Access Point to connect wireless to a second WR841 with DD WRT  configured as a Client Bridge.   The PCs connect to the Client Bridge with Ethernet cable.  This set up allows PCs at the other end of the house to stream TV programs from the internet.   Earlier, we tried connecting the PCs with USB wireless adapters.  But the signal and data throughput from the USB adapters was  variable and unreliable.   This setup with two WR841s, in AP/Client Bridge configuration, is just about bullet proof.  We are very pleased with our purchase and highly recommend the WR841.

Great switch from the standard router you would rent from Spectrum. Was having issues connecting 2.4ghz devices to the basic router from them. Bought this and didn’t realize how slow my WIFI was with their router. With the AX4200 my wifi speed is amazing, videos stream better than ever, gaming is much easier and I can now connect my Roomba to my wifi. No complaints so far! Their NETGEAR app also has a ton of features, albeit many that I might not use. However, it is nice to have those options! Thank you!

Blazing fast wifi speeds. Huge difference from the spectrum modem/router that we were using. Glad I made the switch...
