This product serves the best purpose to connect dumb old stereo gear to a modern iPhone interface. Well worth it, however if you have even the slightest though of connecting video, I'd pay $80 more and jump to Apple TV 4K that gets you AirPlay and video.

This cable works well for connecting our Apple TV 4K to the router. It seems to be of good build and the snagless connectors help for going through holes, although I still wrap them in blue masking tape first to protect the contacts.

Anticipating a new Apple Mini I wanted to see if my hdmi TV monitor w/could work for it (it can't; wouldn't show the apple menubar etc). ... Sony picture quality is the best! I used the HDMI ARC to connect a Sonos Soundbar. I have two rear speakers and a bass speaker. Sony makes it so easy to simply plug and play! I sold an Apple TV Box 4k since I did not want to sacrifice DOLBY ATMOS sound (requires HDMI ARC connection). With optical connection to sound bar I believe you are limited to Dolby 5.1. However, it's easy to stream via Google Chromecast. I stream XFinity/Comcast from my iPhone using Chromecast. It's pretty easy. However, I have had an annoying issue of TV freezing. I have to unplug the set and reconnect. I suspect this may be an XFinity / Chromecast App issue. I may simply get an X1 TV box to rectify this issue. Apple 4K TV Box required HDMI ARC. Therefore, you can't run Sonos / Apple 4K Box together. You can't beat Sony's picture quality! More natural skin tones and great contrast!
