Connecting Bluetooth Keyboard To Harmony Hub

I especially like the 2 port USB hub pass-through enabling connecting a keyboard/mouse combination to the monitor and then to the computer via a single connection. 5 |

This hub is just the thing for connecting up your laptop to your wired USB-A keyboard and mouse/trackball, external monitor, and ethernet, if you're old-fashioned enough to use actual wires. It's small and lightweight -- very convenient for packing along with a laptop when shuttling between locations where you've stashed full-size peripherals. 5 |

For my pc noncompatible with Bluetooth, this help my need for connecting Bluetooth devices such as mouse/keyboard, microphones, and hearing aids. At first wasn't working due to manual/automatic operations within my computer, not having to do with the device at all. Check your system services before giving up if you face problems. 5 |

When I decided to wall-mount a 55 inch TV, I wanted as clean an installation as possible: no tethered boxes on a table below. That meant attaching a Fire Stick 4K, a Harmony Hub and an old TiVO Mini to the rear of the TV. The TiVO and Fire Stick were easy, but the Harmony Hub is made to sit on a horizontal surface, period. As I envisioned fabricating something out of metal strapping, I spotted the Mount-IT! MI-355 online. Perfect! And it was. I cross-strapped the Harmony Hub to it using nylon cable ties and secured it to the TV mount, neat and solid. Price is right, too. 5 |

I use a Logitec Harmony hub control for TV, cable TV, Netflix, music from Internet sent to amplifier and speakers, etc. The Shynybow selector (love that name) has very little conflict with other IR controlled devices, a problem I had with previous audio or AV switches. Out of the 4 inputs, only input no 1 control would conflict with the TV on/off. That left inputs 2,3,4 for which IR commands did not interfere with other devices (I only need 2 inputs in my setup). Great. Works well. 5 |

Read the fine print. This uses Bluetooth LE, and that requires an iPad3 or better. After wondering why it didn't work with either iPad2 here, I found that tidbit (which I had missed) in the fine print, hemmed, hawed, and opted to upgrade the iPad side of the system. It is a quality product, which on the one hand seems quite pricey for what is effectively a 2 button bluetooth keyboard, but on the other hand is much better made than whatever I might kludge up from a cheaper bluetooth keyboard with many more keys. The keys are lit, soft, and silent, and the device is considerably more affordable than some others in its niche - and with the keys on top, not over the edge, it works fine on carpets (some reviews indicate that is a weakness of some competing devices.) For hands-free page turning it really is ideal. Intended for foot operation, it is a bit larger than you'd expect from the pictures. 5 |

This hub allows connecting of multiple drives or a combination of drives, iPhone, kindle. I have another brand that repeatedly resets whenever two drives are connected and I occasionally need to copy between two external usb drives. I have other IOGEAR products that work great and would recommend to anyone that has a USB-C computer with limited ports. 5 |
