Have not used it much yet, but the initial sound quality is just amazing. Having to convince myself that won't fall off my head, but I'm sure that's not a real problem. They are so light I can't believe they won't fall off.

Have had bag for a few weeks. My initial impression was that it was a tad big. Having used it on several trips I can now say that the size is perfect. Appreciate the top pocket that I use to house my hand sanitizer, wipes and lotion which makes it super accessible on flights.

Having used IRIX lenses since initial launch of their Cinema Line, I would say the 65mm lens is a great addition to the line up. Having used it it already on a project with the RED Komodo and Canon Focal Reducer I would have to say the image it produces is great. I have not noticed any chromatic aberrations in the footage I have shot.

Having now just used the K1 for over 1500 photos, my initial impression is that this camera just does what I ask of it. I have not used many of the auxiliary features yet ( HDR, astrophotography ) but for my landscape photography, it does an excellent job. My first impressions are with the DFA 24-70 lens and this seems to be an excellent combo for everyday use. Although others have noted that battery life is not exceptional, I have yet to recharge it and the battery life still shows as being almost full. In the past, I have been very satisfied with my K3 but since getting the K1 II, this is all I have used, While it is heavier than what I am used to, I have had no issues and use it with the grip for added control.

Love this unit. The wheels were the initial selling point but the sturdiness made me happy I made the purchase.

Have only gone out with it once so far so I can't say anything about long-term reliability at this point, but initial impressions: -pretty solid -good adjustment range - setting 1 is great for dim light and 11 is plenty bright enough in full sun -elevation and windage adjustments range is good, with click stops on the screws -optics are good and clear, and this enclosed design protects the focusing lens from any outside impact or damage -mounting hardware reversible to work with both 3/8 and 5/8th in rails -can't argue with the price! My only negative so far is that there is something (possibly some electronics that are free-floating due to the inner sight tube being adjustable?) rattling around inside if I shake it, but it doesn't seem to affect the performance or dot positioning so for now it's not really a problem.

I originally wrote a rather scathing two-star review of this lens because the copy I received was defective and pretty close to unusable autofocus wise. What I didn’t know at the point I had written the initial article was how amazing the Tokina support staff would be to work with. On informing them of the issue I was having with AutoFocus, they immediately started trying to replicate the issue in their facility over in Japan. All this - in the height of the initial outbreak of coronavirus. They worked diligently and were able to quickly determine that the issue was with the copy of the lens I had received. They sent me a new copy free of charge that was personally checked to ensure it was in flawless operating order. So when other people say why go with Tokina when there are very similar lenses for less my answer is do if for the support. Tokina genuinely seems to take pride in their products and they stand behind them 100%. That’s worth a lot. And speaking of value, this lens offers an excellent value in terms of cost to performance ratio. It will give you 90% of the top end prime performance for 1/3 of the cost - creamy bokeh, sharp rendering across the frame, and build quality that rivals much more expensive optics. The autofocus performance is exceptional and just falls of the fastest 85mm lens I’ve ever used. Eye autofocus works comparably well also. In terms of overall rendering quality, this lens lends a neutral balanced classic look to the images it produces, making it an excellent choice for black and white photography and giving you a lot of headroom for working with color photos in post. At the current price point you really can’t go wrong. And it’s great knowing you’ve got 3 years under warranty to back you up should you need it.
