We have Ruby throats and barred owls to watch within 100 feet. This binocular is well worth the money. See the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology 2013 review of binoculars under $200. (@) They are correct about this binocular and B&H is a great source for this product. I received the Celestron cleaning pen as a discount! 5 |

Walking my dogs in a wooded area every morning and most evenings, I often hear owls or herons and wished I could get a good look at them. I had a pair of decent-quality binoculars, but this Leica Monocular is worlds better. It is compact, very high quality, and I now carry it with me each time I go. I love it, and wished I had bought one years ago. Took it to the symphony yesterday and, again, so glad I purchased this take-along! 5 |

I have now had this lens for around two months. In that time I have photographed birds in flight, burrowing owls and had a chance to photograph the brown bears in Alaska. I had used the Sigma dock to AFFT and also change some settings for the OS etc. The lens has performed flawlessly with no issues. Photos that I have taken with the lens have been sharp and the AF has been responsive. The AF does tend to hunt in low light, but that is to be expected with a superzoom and its limited maximum aperture. The lens is heavy and I bought this knowing that I would only use this on a tripod and gimbal. Overall the lens is a great buy and I am very thrilled to have bought it. I have attached some sample pics below. 5 |

Seems to work very well. I took it out on a rural photo shoot of Burrowing Owls last week and it was adjustable to the correct sitting height for me with my tripod totally collapsed. I liked that because getting good bird photos is a lot of waiting for the perfect opportunity. I could wait in shooting position comfortably with this stool. 5 |

I've been wanting a thermal monocular for many years. I'm an avid birder and this allows me to locate owls at night. I almost bought the Flir in the same price range but the ASP-Micro has many more features including wireless connection to my phone. I also used it to find areas of my attic that were lacking in insulation. Best purchase in a long time. 5 |

I was primarily interested in this filter to watch owls and other nocturnal animals. Like it! Note that the distance at which you can see an object will be reduced by a factor of 10, compared to white light. This is about 40 m at high power - still enough to spot an animal without blinding it. 5 |

I bought this device for birding, specifically looking for owls at night. Some of the top thermal scopes cost upwards of $4k. The problem is, they are clearly marked as Export Controlled. I don't want to get into any trouble with those. This little plug-in camera cost only $400. So I decided to give it a try. I brought it to Guatemala a few days ago, hooked up with an old Pixel 3A phone, it worked great, far better than I expected. I found an owl at night perched silently behind our cabin on my second night there. I could see the red-hot owl based on the body shape. Even smaller birds can show up as hotspots at night. Definitely worth the $$$. 5 |
