I purchased two to work with both a desktop windows 10 PC and laptop. The webcam was immediately recognized as the default camera. I had to change the audio settings to make the webcam microphone be the default of choice. The quality and area of video behind my face was impressive. The adapters work very well. I am using two older HP monitors, HP w2408h and HP w2338h to interface with my HP (Windows 10 only) Pavillion desktop until the windows 10 update cut off happens next year. With regards to enabling HDR in Windows while on desktop. All you have to do is if using an Nvidia card, go into the control panel and manually adjust the contrast, gamma and digital vibrance. This makes the desktop come alive. Thank me later. 5 |

I use this as a desktop mic for narrating screencasts. It also works well with Windows 7 speech recognition for dictation and PC control. The Go Mic records clear, strong audio signal. It has some capability to serve as a playback speaker, which is a feature I don't use. When first plugged in, the driver set the Go Mic as my default playback speaker, which silenced my normal PC speakers. It was confusing at first, but easy to correct in Windows through the Sound control panel. 5 |
