Control Game Audio Issues With Dialogue

I recently bought one of these to bring my work to the next level and I'm quite impressed. Having full control of my audio is a game changer. The mics pick up range is really impressive compared to the VideoPro mic I have been using. Highly recommend this addition to your tool belt.

This is a great sound bar to tv use. Nothing fancy, but great audio for dialogue.

I use these to monitor dialogue and VO. I'm not an audio technician and can't speak on the specifics but I can say that the audio quality is great and the headphones are super isolating and comfortable.

I've been doing video production for 20+ years. If you need 2 mono channels of audio recorded to your camera this is perfect. We've been using a separate recorder connected via XLR for years and used other wireless units which all worked well, but the Rode GOII has been slick. Its been extremely simply to manage and the quality has been perfect for dialogue. I haven't used it for anything else, but for dialogue its been worry free for us. Nice, purpose built product. Rick

I am not an audio professional by any means but I have been learning more and more, and purchased this for indoor dialogue use. This is my first Hypercardioid, and it sounds absolutely wonderful to my somewhat untrained ear. In audio tests I listened to I will admit it doesn't sound quite as good as say a Sennheiser MKH-50 or a Schoeps CMC641, but for me those mics don't sound twice or three times as better than this... as the price of these would indicate. Law of diminishing returns in my opinion. This mic sounds great, appears fairly sturdy, comes with a foam windscreen, mic stand holder, and nice case.

I did a few quick audio tests with this mic. I had someone run dialogue while the mic was sitting in the hot shoe, on top of the camera. This mic is leaps and bounds better then the Rhode mic we were using before. When this mic is in stereo mode it picks up everything!! That will be great for some situations, for dialogue that we were running that day, mono was the way to go. I will say that the mic did and will pick up the sound of me racking focus. That is when it is sitting on the hot shoe. Rarely would I try and run audio this way though. The only other thing about this mic is that it's a bit tinny when you first hear the audio and not always super warm. But I increased the bass boost in post and messed with the pan a little bit and was very happy with the results. In the end, you want a pretty solid run and gun mic, this is a good choice. But don't expect pro level results from it. Also the cord from the mic to the camera is a bit on the short side, get something to extend that!

Overall, we are very satisfied with this soundbar and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality, smart soundbar.

I have a different mic to capture dialogue and more finite audio needs, but I snagged this to run as a secondary mic to help capture the sound of the space and use that audio to help in post production. Its great for that, but I probably wouldn't use this as a main mic.

This is the first shotgun mic i’ve owned. I’m primary using it for field audio and dialogue and It’s proving to be flexible and useful.
