Control Game Break Reinforced Glass

its simply the best for my use but they break down quickly at the corners where the rods go in, I wish they just reinforced this area

Originally I was a bit skeptical about this since I heard it was just plastic and it has a fine thread to thread things on it. When I pulled it out of the package, I noticed that it felt a bit different than just plastic. Just like the ring on the TG bodies, this ring is actually made of a glass fiber reinforced composite material-basically plastic that is filled with glass fiber. In bright light, you can see the fibers in the material. This makes it a lot stronger and more dimensionally stable while keeping it light weight. This kind of material is used for cameras (some also use carbon fiber reinforced composite where carbon fiber is used instead of glass) and other industrial applications. In any case, I use it with the smaller 40.5 mm filters or use a Heliopan brass step up ring to use it with some of my other filters such as polarizers or black and white contrast filters. Things thread on it quite smoothly, and it clicks into place on the camera body quite smoothly as well. I do wish the dot on the accessory bayonet for the TG series was up at the top, but I've used this so much that I can often line it up without any trouble.

Good glass is expensive but these will outlive you if you don't break them.

This replaces the one I got with the D5600. Destroyed the original by dropping it - 5' seems to be when the glass will break.

Looking for faster glass that wouldn't break the bank. This was just the solution!

This soft box has been a game changer. Setup and break down is a breeze and the lighting comes out very even (especially with the internal diffuser installed).

Strong cable, I especially like the reinforced area before the plugs.

The reinforced tip was a needed and is a great upgrade.

We needed several 11x14 frames for posters and didn't want to break the budget. These were perfect, and they look like they were much more expensive. I was especially surprised about how thick and sturdy the glass is. Unfortunately one of the frames arrived broken (on the plastic frame, not the glass!). The replacement process was quick and easy. Thank you for that. We plan to order more. I only wish this design was available in 8 1/2x11 so we could frame some certificates we need to hang in the same style.

After an accident that jammed my lens (repairable) but thankfully did not break the glass, I finally got around to buying these for all my lenses. I don't know why I waited so long - they are inexpensive, well made, and actually increase the quality of your photos.
