Control Game Key

I have been using Elgato products since the Game Capture HD with a 2009 iMac. I used to light up my elgato green screen with a cheap USB powered LED work light set on the floor. It managed for the most part, but far from an ideal solution. The jump to the Key Light was like night and day, literally. Having full control over colour temperature and brightness made my lighting look instantly professional. Being able to control every option via the iOS app over WiFi meant the Key Light became the main source of lighting in my tiny apartment, and still is.

This light is just what I needed. It's a perfect size for a key ring, and very bright. The game changer for me is it is rechargeable using my phone charger. I would recommend this light to a friend.

The Key Lights changed the game for me. They are low profile, and clamped to my desk to save a lot of space compared to my old soft boxes. The versatility of these lights is very impressive, as the brightness and colour temperature are fully adjustable via the control centre app. You can also move/swivel the lights to get the correct angle of lighting to suit different filming situations. Because the Key Lights are LED panels, they are a lot cooler than traditional bulbs, so I feel like I can record for as long as I need without the room becoming a sauna!

This light is approaching a Diva 400 in output. In any situation where you can control the ambient light, this will get the job done beautifully. This isn't going to compete with sunlight... i.e. don't expect this to be a key outdoors on a sunny day, but in any indoor situation with 1-2 people, like an interview, when you're going to block out windows or otherwise have control of the ambient light, this will make you really happy. Even when there's some ambient light (of any color) you can still work with it within reason. You can't put a person in front of a window, on a sunny day, and bring them up enough to not blow out the windows, but in almost any other indoor situation, this will get you what you want. Had I known I would like this light so much I would have bought a 2nd during a previous B&H promotion. This is a good size and weight, and the light quality is exceptional. I've worked on national shows/news and I'd have been proud to offer this light for various ways to flatter talent. Even in lower power situations, like filling in a face from below while HMI or something more powerful provides key... this would be an exceptional tool. My point is... many times this can be a wonderful key... and when you need more punch it can still provide other functions. It's a good light... versatile... and impressive in use.

This is a product you didn't knew you missed it, till you have one.. you can't go without it anymore! I control my Key Lights, my emotes, my whole Twitch channel.. well.. everything with this Stream Deck! I can't see myself going without one anymore!

The Key Light was extremely easy to incorporate into my set up. What makes the Key Light really stand out, is the Control Center software. Being able to make on the fly adjustments to the Key Light without having to constantly get up and make manual adjustments like I had to do when I was using ring lights just makes for a much better experience not just for me, but for my viewers as well as they no longer have to see me move away from being front and center in the camera to go and adjust the lighting as needed. It is even better being able to utilize the stream deck with it as well!

It works really well if you want to run 3 talkbacks on the same channel, you can control the individual mic’s level. We have a talkback for our key’s, bass & drums player.

Got these to control light direction from my Elgato Key Lights. A little pricey but these are still the cheapest option to do that as there is no official grid option from Elgato. Working as intended!
