Control Mt Power Drum With Midi Keyboard

This keyboard creates both MIDI and CV and it's also a sequencer and a drum-machine and everything you would like to have. It makes most of my Eurorack modules so much more useful, because there are things I wouldn't do because of too much wiring, but KeyStep Pro creates all the signals, they're synchronized and it's so much easier.

I use the product to control Ableton Live and Reason and it is spectacular! It lets me have great hands-on control, the keys are amazingly expressive, the drum pads are great, and sliders are awesome too. This is for sure a great MIDI keyboard and easily compares to any MIDI keyboard out there. One con though is that the encoders are a little loose feeling, but it's not bad once you get used to it.

I especially like the Record feature. This keyboard is simply a pleasure to use. In fact, my father-in-law, a very talented musician, enjoys this Prestige Artist as well. His final words after putting this piano through its paces, was, This is not a toy. It's the real thing. And you're gonna have a LOT of fun with this machine! And he was right! I use this keyboard with a popular online learning application. NOTE: If you're planning to use the midi output by plugging it into an iPad gen 2's USB input, do NOT plug in the midi cord until after the piano has powered up. If you don't, your Alesis may not power up. The stand for this keyboard is perfect. Not only is it very stable and looks great, but it's super easy to take apart and move if you need to relocate your piano in your house. Just 6 easy screws gets the job done. Less than a minute with a power screwdriver, to lift the keyboard off the stand. Easy peasy.

We used this so our Mac that runs our midi keyboard can be off stage. It works great and provides power to our Akai keyboard! Note this is only USB 2.0.

I was excited for this audio interface to come out because of the two headphone outputs for monitoring, multiple output port options on the back, in-built additional USB-A ports, and that it operates by USB-C. Also I heard great reviews online. The in-built usb ports are great, so that I don't have to have as many adapters from USB C to USB A for my laptop with other devices. I first heard of Arturia when I was in the market for a midi keyboard, and so far, they do not disappoint. A massive bonus for me is how this interface is much smaller than I expected, which is amazing. Plus, it comes with power plugs for different countries. It doesn't HAVE to be plugged in to power (unless you want to use the interface's additional in-built usb ports for something like a midi keyboard), so that is nice, but also good to have the ability for extra usb ports. It would be even better if it didn't have the need to be plugged in to get power to the usb ports to power my midi keyboard, but I can live with that compromise because I think that's just literally a physical necessity (I don't think there's anything out there at the time of writing that could do that without a power supply). The small form factor is great for me since I travel a lot, and I don't expect to need to replace this interface for a long time since it's perfect for my needs.

This is a deceptive little synth, it is not a toy and can be used in a Musicians rig, but it's main short coming is the touch keyboard, so if you got a Midi keyboard, use it (Note: you will need a Type A 1/8 Midi adapter cable to utilize the midi capability) the Korg software is pretty good to access the deeper functions, but the sound is the big deal here, it sounds beefy & the built in effects are top notch, and with full midi support you will be using this with your DAW, drum machines etc. it is fun and easy to put together, really worth the price.

I use it as a MIDI keyboard, a sequencer, an arpeggiator, and then do all of that with the CV too. It's great.
