I gave it a 5 rating because the build quality is excellent. Set up is pretty fast, too. I was a bit disappointed with the spill control. In fairness, I am used to using a honeycomb grid, which cuts the light off like barndoors do. But, I have used an eggcrate with the Lowel Rifa light and if memory serves, it seemed to provide better control over light spill. In any case, it will last for a long time. 5 |

I've given this gimbal 5 star rating because in my opinion it is excellent quality, and great value. I would deduct half a star if I could because of some software issues with my Nikon Z6. Camera control from the gimbal works, but not without its hiccups, and issues. I have not been able to pin point how, when or why this happens.. but it appears the Z6 will freeze/lock up when either the gimbal or the camera goes into sleep mode, it wont turn On or Off. I have to take the camera off the gimbal, pull the battery out, in order to get it working again. I've been using the gimbal and the Z6 without the camera controls, so that means I cant press record directly from the gimbal, or control focus. In my opinion it should be an easy fix with a software update to the gimbal, and not enough to warrant deducting a whole star. 5 |
