If you're like me.... a professional photographer slowly moving over to the RF lenses, but you don't want to sell off all your L lenses yet, then this is a must have. I think $99 would have been plenty, but the ability to control my ISO or aperture or speed is a MUST. I have mine set to ISO and love it. I will say that it is very easy to change the ISO if you're not paying attention as you grab your camera for a pic. Now that I ordered the adapter with the control ring I wouldn't think about getting another without the control ring. 5 |

I shoot it at ISO 600, better highlight control than slower black and white films. 5 |

As you can tell from the headline, this is my first RF mount lens. I’m not super technical, so my review of this lens is pretty superficial. I love not having to use the RF adapter with this lens. Plus. The control ring is useful too. I have the EOS R; and, while I have the Touch Bar set to control ISO, it’s not nearly as reliable as the control ring on the RF lens. So, that’s just what I have it set to do - control ISO. More than anything, I can use this lens with my DJI Ronin SC and not have the balancing issues I had with my EF mount lenses and my Sigma lenses. 5 |

Using this filter is like having a totally independent fourth way to control exposure (the other three being ISO, aperture and shutter speed). Makes shooting outdoors in manual mode so much easier when I wan to constrain the other three settings for my desired effects. I have NOT has any issues with XX in the images, but then I have exceeded the recommended darkness, either. 5 |

I purchased this camera as my first interchangeable lens camera, and I haven't regretted my choice. My main concerns from other reviews I read were its size and the lack of a dedicated ISO control, but neither has proved to be an issue. I have large hands and it fits comfortably in my had (I never accidentally hit any buttons). It is also easy to switch between aperture and ISO control. I was between this and the F-T3, and I don't regret my choice. 5 |

I almost didn't buy the control ring adapter, thinking the standard adapter would be sufficient. I'm glad I bought it. I'm a sports photographer. The lighting continually changes as play moves from the sun to shadows, and as night falls at the stadiums. I set up the control ring to adjust ISO. It is so convenient to look through the viewfinder, see I need to adjust the ISO to maintain proper exposure, and then simply turn the dial. All this a fraction of a second. I'm glad I spend the extra $50. 5 |

My canon T6i operates slave flashes from the internal flash and in TTL only. By using the two and the single on I purchased I can now operate my two Canon 430 flashes in manual and at full guide number 244(RMS average, 141 each at ISO 100), Each time I double the ISO the guide number increases by a factor of 1.4. I can still control the output of each flash and better remote control. 5 |

I like that this adapter has the control ring. Changing ISO on the Canon R5 can be a multi step process but with the control ring, no problems. Connects my EF lenses to the R5 without issue. Thank goodness because I don't have the money to replace all my gear with RF lenses. Recommended 5 |

Reminds me of my first film cameras - FM, FE. I like that even the ISO control is on the top deck so I can shoot fully manual. I also like the secondary command dial which is easier to use that the flush dial on my Nikon Df. I do use a para cord wrist strip because it's small and I have to be conscious of my grip. It's my first MILC so I'm glad I got the kit. Just waiting for the second battery to become available. 5 |
