Control Samsung Soundbar With Tv Remote Optical

Easy to use and does what we need. Since we already have a Samsung television, even the TV remote control keys adjust the soundbar volume! Now we can hear the television over the nearby furnace noise. Also I read that I can expand it to surround sound, though I haven't looked into that yet. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung S50B soundbar is sleek and compact, with a bold and beautiful sound. This is definitely upgrading our movie night experience! It is perfect in size and with minimal affect to room design. Set up was easy and it comes with a wall mount kit. Easily pairs with our Q-Symphony Samsung TV so it combines the TV speakers with the sound bar speakers! It includes a remote although our Samsung TV remote works on both! If you’ve got a Samsung phone, you can walk right up to the soundbar and tap it on the top to play music directly from your phone! Be sure to turn on the option in the smart things app! The sound is clear, and what we were hoping for as we watch movies, play video games and play music in our home. Ideal for our needs for something compact that still provides quality sound—and without muffling of the dialogue! 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LG soundbar delivers impressive sound quality without taking up too much space. Its sleek design fits seamlessly with my TV stand. While the remote control is a bit confusing initially, the LG soundbar mobile app offers a convenient alternative. I was able to easily pair my TV remote to control the soundbar's volume, which is a nice touch. The bass is powerful and enhances both movies and music, and vocals are clear and easy to understand. Unfortunately, I didn’t experience a strong sense of surround sound; the audio primarily comes from the front. Nevertheless, the overall sound quality is excellent for the price. 5 |

Unfortunatly there is no chance to use only one (BlueTooth) Samsung Remote Control for TV and Sonos-System. Any Ideas / Recomendations??? 5 |

This adapter worked perfectly to connect my tv, which only had an optical output, to the soundbar. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was previously using a standalone soundbar without a subwoofer from a different brand which wasn’t too bad but having the Samsung QN-95B 75” TV and knowing what the built-in TV speakers were capable off I was also missing out on using them until I discovered Q-Symphony that allows the TV Speakers to be used in addition to the soundbar. The Samsung HW-S700D Soundbar was a perfect fit was my living space and served this purpose extremely well. The Soundbar and Subwoofer was super easy to setup. Although wireless capable, I chose to use the HDMI cable provided and it was an instant detection and pairing. My Samsung TV automatically recognized the Q-Symphony compatibility and adjusted the sound accordingly for maximum balance and range. The SpaceFit Sound Pro worked its magic to utilize the position and space and adjust automatically even while watching content in real time. No other setup required. I moved the subwoofer to various positions, and ultimately had it next to the sofa which enhanced the bass and feel. The Soundbar and Subwoofer provide great sound levels with well-balanced Treble, Mid, and Bass levels. The bass was a much-needed addition and gave the overall feel a more realistic vibe specially when watching movies and certainly listen to music. The bar is super slim yet performed extremely well for its form factor. It took up much less space than other soundbars and the overall design is super sleek to blend in with my room decor. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought Dec 2022 to go with a new samsung TV. The pair use what's called q symphony which allows all the speakers to be used from both the tv and sound bar to work as one unit. Overall the sound is great not much adjusting needed. Only downside is the soundbar doesn't use eARC just ARC through one port, so everything needs to be connected to the TV then the TV to the soundbar, no optical connection either. It's very long for a soundbar which should fit under a 55" or larger, but the depth is extremely slim compared to the Q800 model that I saw in a retail store. Overall love the soundbar thinking on picking up the matching rear atmos wireless speakers soon to finish it off. If you need alot of connections directly to your soundbar or need a digital display on it, this soundbar is not for you. For everyone else, especially samsung tv owners who can use Q Symphany, want to have a very flush mounting soundbar, the HW-S800B is an excellent purchase, with the option to expand to a full 5.1(2).4 system. 5 |

I received my SRS-NS7 from B&H about a week ago and was totally hooked on it within an hour of starting to use it. However I want to offer some strong advice to those who plan to use one of these while watching TV alongside other viewers. My wife and I normally sit about 12 ft from our TV monitor and typically sit close enough that we rub shoulders. We have a Sonos soundbar under the monitor, with surround sound speakers at each end of our loveseat. I wear hearing aids but Patty does not. The optical output of the TV goes to a splitter with one output going to the soundbar and the other going to the Bluetooth transmitter for the SRS-NS7. With the arrangement described above, we both heard sound from the soundbar and the NS7, and there was enough latency difference to irritate us both. I have a technical background and had anticipated such a latency effect, but had no knowledge of the actual delays with either device. I spoke with an audio expert at B&H, asking for advice about a variable delay device that has optical input(s) and output(s). He could not recommend such a device that is currently available from B&H but did suggest a Felston DD740 that B&H used to carry. I looked up the characteristics of the DD740 and agreed that it seemed to be exactly what I needed. I purchased one from LipFix.com, after talking with their Nick Johnson. It arrived yesterday. After connecting my new DD740 in series with the optical input to the Bluetooth transmitter of the SRS-NS7 and experimenting with the delay, I found that a delay of 55mS yields NO perceptible latency effects that interfere with either what Patty and I hear while watching TV. The bottom line: We both enjoy hearing REALLY EXCELLENT sound, including very clear dialogue, while watching TV together AND I get the benefit of superb sound while editing videos etc. with the SRS-NS7 connected to the Bluetooth of my computer systems. I could not be happier with this purchase! Pete 5 |
