Control The Media Game

We have been “making due” with an analog audio receiver in our media room for too long. Adapters and cables running everywhere and constantly swapping this cord to that device and back again. The Sony STR-DH590 has been a game changer! Audio and video for all our devices plug directly into this receiver and eliminated all of our adapters and extra cables. My wife said, “This is a game changer!” Wish I’d bought this years ago!

This is a game changer for doing media management in the field. I work in documentary production and I've spent years downloading 4k footage to LaCie Hard Drives (average 30 minutes a card or more). These drives do the same download in 6 minutes! I can't believe how fast and smooth it is! So happy! Also, B&H delivery was fast and smooth, as always.

I got this for my husband's media setup. He has at least 6 game consoles and a soundbar all on one tv. It took us a couple tries, some troubleshooting, and some googling to get it working (follow the included quick start guide! The order you plug things in MATTERS!), but it's been working great since. The main problem we had was that the soundbar wouldn't work, even though its HDMI was plugged into the tv and not the switcher. Changed the soundbar hookup from HDMI to optical and that did the trick!

I needed to control the zoom for a camera in our church that was about 30+ feet away from our media booth. We already had pan/tilt capabilities, but not zoom. This cable for the VariZoom zoom controller (for a Sony cam) will does the trick nicely and does not degrade performance of the controller. A must-have.

I have in dedicated media room with total light control so it works really well. I wouldn’t recommend it for room that doesn’t have total light control. Assembly wasn’t too bad it took me about an hour to get it assembled.

This unit is great for the price it's sold fof. I bought the keyboard to control media player. I just put in USB transmitter and I had control with a keyboard having any cables on my way. I would recommend this unit many times over because of how good it works.

I'm using for premiere, illustrator and blender, but I also use it to launch applications and control media (youtube and music). For applications like premiere with a lot of shortcuts the XL pays for itself.

I bought the Elgato Stream Deck to control OBS for use on internet media platforms ( Zoom, Twitch, Youtube etc) The set up was almost plug and play. The Stream Deck software is very easy to use and intuitive. The custom button feature is a big plus too.
