Control Universal Pro Mackie

I edit videos for corporations and non-profits. I needed something simple, high quality and small to control volume and switch between input sources. The Mackie Big Knob passive fit my needs perfectly. I've used the original Big Knob in the past, but it would overkill for my home edit system with a BlackMagic Design Intensity Pro interface and KRK Rockit 5 monitors. If you have self powered speakers and an audio/video interface without a volume control, the Mackie Big Knob Passive is what you need. Transparent sound control and dead simple to set up.

I use a Neumann TLM-103 directly into a Mackie 1402 VLZ Pro, then to the Matchbox II to my Fujitsu solid state hard drive computer...and the Matchbox II perfectly translates the large dynamic range of the Neumann. I use NO voice processor because I want to deliver a pure audio waveform to my clients (Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard and others...) If the Matchbox II was a woman, I'd date it.

Multiclamp will be used for many on locations shoots where I need to go very lightly but need a little more control with the portable flash. Very durable and universal in the usage with light stands and tripods for mounting the Multiclamp. Very happy with the product and would recommend to others.

I purchased two Mackie SR18S 1600W pro powered subwoofers and two Mackie Thump 215XT 1400W powered loud speakers from B&H. A few cables and just using my IPAD this is incredible.My first time using B&H and very impressed.

If you own the Mackie MCU Pro this is a no brainer!!! It’s expensive but it adds immediate value to your tracking and mixing capabilities. The only reason why I don’t own two of them is because I need the spare midi ports to plug up my MPC 2000XL and Nord Stage 3 into my MCU Pro! Do yourself a big favor and purchase one if you are on the fence. Once you get one you will immediately be glad that you did.

These are Great reference monitors for my Techincal / Pro system!! Very nice sounding!! Great looking Monitors from Mackie and matches my Mackie Headphones!! Very Cool, in deed!! Mackie does it again!!! B&H is the Best!!
