This head is certainly one of the best kept secrets. It's a great light weight head at a very good price. If you are interested in panoramic photography this is an ideal head as it incorporates leveling and panning functions. No need for separate leveling and panning base. If you are using it for regular photography it's simple to operate and absolutely rock solid. Highly recommended.

This book is amazing. Packed full of Don's secrets to awesome macro imagery. He is incredibly generous in sharing his knowledge. Worth every penny! :)

Tokina is one of the best kept secrets in photography. They have a long history of designing lenses that are of high quality while being relatively affordable. The build quality is second to none on this particular 85mm. All metal with a focus ring that is an absolute joy to use (DMF mode on my Sony is awesome). Buttery smooth with nice resistance. Tightly put together, producing excellent sharpness and color. Auto focus is on par with native glass. The only downside is the lack of a rubber gasket around the mount and a flimsy lens hood that wobbles a bit. Otherwise, brilliant all around!

I have been using Elgato products since the Game Capture HD with a 2009 iMac. I used to light up my elgato green screen with a cheap USB powered LED work light set on the floor. It managed for the most part, but far from an ideal solution. The jump to the Key Light was like night and day, literally. Having full control over colour temperature and brightness made my lighting look instantly professional. Being able to control every option via the iOS app over WiFi meant the Key Light became the main source of lighting in my tiny apartment, and still is.

I recently bought one of these to bring my work to the next level and I'm quite impressed. Having full control of my audio is a game changer. The mics pick up range is really impressive compared to the VideoPro mic I have been using. Highly recommend this addition to your tool belt.
