I had a bunch of vinyl 40 years old that I hadn't heard in a long time and wanted to convert to .mp3; I also had a 40-year old Angel records release in New condition - still sealed - that I wanted very much to revisit. I've had turntables before but it has been quite a while since I set one up, but this one was super easy, and - with the getting started instructions - virtually intuitive. Connecting to the computer and dropping an mp3 using Audacity was no big deal, and connecting to and using the Mackie speakers even easier, and well worth the money. I would recommend this set-up to anyone wanting to revisit the glory of vinyl.

An inexpensive way to use my vintage turntable to convert my LP collection to MP3, WAV or any other digital format I choose. Beats buying a cheap USB turntable by leaps and bounds because I can use my decent quality cartridge and stylus for the project, rather than using the cheap setup that comes with most reasonably priced USB turntable. This preamp set up easily and I was off and running in a matter of a few minutes. It was well worth the money, and of course, B&H shipped quickly.

I've been getting back into vinyl over the last few years. My home theater system didn't have a designated "phono" in. Records sounded ok on it? But the volume was way down. I tried a few pre amp options, and nothing seemed to work. I bought this, and so far I love it. I hooked my turntable in, and my records sound fantastic! It also has Bluetooth connectivity, so you can play from your phone too. Lps and streaming are about the same output... CD's are definitely louder. But I think they always were anyway? So, I'm super happy with my purchase, and use it mostly for my old (but great shape) records.
