I have a desktop System that is used for development and systems work. As part of this I utilize a Raid 5 to make sure my data is saved. had a problem with a 1TB Hitachi drive (after 5 years) and this was the best price / performance disk and vendor I found on the web. I needed to increase the storage for my data, music and photos on my desktop. I had done research on what I thought I needed and the size I wanted but I wanted to talk to someone knowledgeable about this. So I called B&H because their customer service department and technical department have always been helpful. And once again that proved to be the case. I was correct in my research and I ordered two of the larger drives and received them in just a couple of business days. 5 |

Works well, I got this so I could shut down my last desktop machine but still have access to the data. I will need a USB-C cable for it and with that odd connector on the other end you have to be careful what one you order, it only comes with USB-A. Fan top is only held on by a magnet so it's easy to take off but that also means you can pick the thing up by the top. Be carful to check the alignment before inserting the drives. 5 |

This is the drive I use to store data on my desktop computer; just upgraded from a 2TB drive. Needs to be formatted and partitioned after the physical install, but super simple using Windows Disk Management SW. This monster storage combined with the SSD I use for my operating system makes my 8 year old desktop purr like a contented tiger. 5 |
