Early in my video production days I decided to purchase some 100 foot SDI cables for long runs. In order to save money I chose another brand thinking a cable is a cable and copper is copper. The salesman at B&H tried to tell me to go with CANARE. My thoughts were the salesman was trying to just make a higher sale but I wanted to save $30. WELL after using that OTHER BRAND's cable only 3 times, the signal started going off and on... The connector failed on me... SO NOW, I USE ONLY CANARE!!! Lesson Learned. 5 |

It works great. Bear in mind that while you can use 10GBASE-T copper adapters, the switch can only handle up to 4 of them due to power and heat. Same with DAC cables. You can mix and match DAC and 10GBASE-T up to 4 total. Ports support 802.3ad/LAG/LACP so you can aggregate uplinks from the older G1 Unifi switches as well. All in all, it does what it says, it's passively cooled and pairs well with a Dream Machine Pro/SE. 5 |
