Fast boot-up. New life to an old computer.

This is one of my favorites. Great for close quarter work and inspections, yet bright enough to see out in front of you. The clean edge projector like beam is cool too. Small enought to carry in your pocket, or even in your luggage.

Stopped down to 5.6 this lens is sharp from the center almost to the edge of the frame. This is my second copy (first was stolen). This one appears to be just as sharp as the first. Great anti-reflective coating. This is a great modest price full-frame fisheye.

The first copy of this lens had an unusually tight fit rotating into position and then it killed the AF on my Nikon D500. Back to B&H for an exchange, which was handled quickly and efficiently. The replacement is everything I expected when I originally ordered this and works perfectly. What others reported in reviews with excellent edge to edge sharpness I've found is true. Focus is particularly quiet and quick. No hunting at all, or if there is as on moving subjects like flowers, I can't hear it.

Every camera and lens manufacturer has quality control issues to some extent. Nikon definitely has more than most of the most of the other ones. The first copy I had was not what I expected, having problem with one side of the image being sharp while the other side was out of focus and the out of focus side shifted from the left at 16mm to the right at 80mm. I wanted this lens so bad I took the chance and get another one which I am writing this review about and this one is excellent. It is very well built, nice attention to details even with the lens hood as it clicks into position and will not accidentally comes off. This lens is tack sharp even wide open from edge to edge evenly at every focal lengths so I am very pleased with the lens and it definitely deserves the 5 star rating. However having so much difference from copy to copy is certainly very discouraging and Nikon should improve the quality control.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a Microsoft Surface and love it because of the portability of it. It's my work computer but I take it with me. But it only has 1 USB port and not too many other ports. I got the thunderbolt dock to be able to connect more USB devices and other things to my computer. It has a lot of ports including HDMI ports and others. It also charges my computer while also has a phone charger port. It's not light so I don't think it's great for portability but I am leaving it in my office and it's fantastic. Recommend this to all.
