Still like my wired headphones

A most excellent MB. Installation not painful at all, design of M2 drive sockets most excellent. The assisted PCIE slot release -about time!! However, WiFi 6e complications specifically related to full clean install of Win 11 provided no wireless default drivers. The common solution would be for wired connection however in the event of no wired connection, you cannot get passed the initial OOBE. Solution/workaround should be included either in manual or BIOS snippet. WIN+F10 this will bypass and take you to command prompt. Once here, you must change directory to OOBE. So, use the command CD\OOBE, then type bypassnro. This will allow you to continue setup at which time you will have to find a method of obtaining the Intel LAN drivers unless you supply them. This board is killer. I prefer it to the Z790 , a virtually identical board to the 690 but with a more IO options. Paired with the components listed below, I can do anything from Video editing to gaming , streaming and IT Administration. I have heard that Asus can be difficult when it comes to RMA and that they are working on improving thier work flows in that area and well, I have not had to test the validity of those claims since I have never had an Asus product fail on me in more than a 2 decades of Asus being my products of choice. They turned my wired headphones into wireless and work great.

If you don't have wireless headphones yet, you will need this to use wired headphones with your ipad. Works fine.

Great as Bluetooth headphones, over the ear wired headphones and noise cancelling.

I installed a pair of Corsair MP600 Pro LPX 4TB M.2 drives in this unit and have them in a RAID 0 configuration. I'm running an old Intel Mac Mini, so speeds are not optimal, but the external drive is faster than Apple's internal SSD that came installed in the laptop. I have to put my ear right next to the dock in order to confirm the fan is running, so noise certainly isn't an issue.

These are durable headphones, what sold me is that cables are user replaceable, they twist and lock on, and you can have the cable come down on the left or right side. Just about everything's modular, if you want pads that cover your ears, you just swap them out, same with the drivers. Mind you these are designed for DJing, so they're loud and bassy, with strong isolation of outside sound. If you just want to listen to music, I'd suggest you get the other ones with different drivers and over the ear pads. You can also switch out the cable to one with a mic if you want to use it with your smart phone. I've had mine for a year, so far so good. Also I like the fact that they care about sourcing raw material sustainably. So despite their higher price, I figured I'm investing for quality and longevity!
