This board is killer. I prefer it to the Z790 , a virtually identical board to the 690 but with a more IO options. Paired with the components listed below, I can do anything from Video editing to gaming , streaming and IT Administration. I have heard that Asus can be difficult when it comes to RMA and that they are working on improving thier work flows in that area and well, I have not had to test the validity of those claims since I have never had an Asus product fail on me in more than a 2 decades of Asus being my products of choice. I decided to use this product for online sharing sessions with K-12 teachers from around the state. The title of the product is true to form: it enables ClearChat, Comfort during extended use, and ease-of-use with the USB plug-and-play capability. The annoying echoing caused by speaker-microphone feedback during multi-user sessions is almost completely non-existant. Long sessions tire out your behind before wearing out your ears and head. As far as USB user-friendliness, I just held a training session with the teachers, and the 30+ teachers were able to successfully configure the headsets on their computers in minutes. The only snag occurs between the headset and whichever program you plan to use for networking and virtual meetings; however, those problems are quickly resolved after a careful review of the program interface requirements. I have only had the headsets for 2 weeks, so the jury is still out on durability, but the headsets seem sturdy. I dropped my headset off a table yesterday and did not notice any effect on performance.

I use these for location sound two-way com with the boom operator(s). On one channel I send a mix of program and talkback via triplex snake to a headset amp into which these are plugged in. The boom op's headset mic and the boom mic come back to the mixer on the other two channels. These things have been squished in gear bags, fallen off tables, and subjected to a variety of not-so-gentle treatment in the field. I have never had a failure. And the headset sound quality is excellent. The microphone is adequate for IFB use and casual commentary (sportscasting). I don't know if I would use it as the primary mic for doing voiceover work. I would opt for a large-diaphram mic for that purpose. Never had a feedback issue between the mic and the cans. You do however (as with any headphones) need to take measures to keep the sound coming through the cans from being picked up by a sensitive mic inside a sound booth. Refer to a textbook on audio postproduction 101 for that issue. All in all, an excellent mic headset for crew to communicate with mixer, director and each other, whether using a dedicated IFB system or simply mixing program with headset mics and using triplex cables, as I do. Great value too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Positives: JBL Quantum 400 is a solid gaming headset with excellent build and top notch sound quality. The build quality of JBL never disappoints. The quantum surround sound will give you the surround sound experience and is the best part of the headphones. You can customize your sound experience with the app. The microphone works perfect. The headphones worked perfect with my Xbox One. This headset gives immersive gaming experience you need. Negatives: None but if nitpicking, the sound cable can be little longer.

I really like this headset I did want to compare the virtual surround on these and my razer thresher ultimate headset when it came to gaming with them The Philips Fidelio X2HR sounded good but there are some sounds that can not be picked up when gaming as I have heard and seen in some youtube reviews that have said otherwise The sound is great on the Philips Fidelio X2HR for gaming But there just better for thrasher music and heavy bass They really kick I highly recommend these

I installed a pair of Corsair MP600 Pro LPX 4TB M.2 drives in this unit and have them in a RAID 0 configuration. I'm running an old Intel Mac Mini, so speeds are not optimal, but the external drive is faster than Apple's internal SSD that came installed in the laptop. I have to put my ear right next to the dock in order to confirm the fan is running, so noise certainly isn't an issue.

I had both the Open Swim and the Open Run Pro and now I only need one headset as this one does it all. THANK YOU!
