This calculator is beautiful, stylish and perfect. Item exceeded my expectations. I would purchase again.

I used a few of these to elevate my Oculus Rift sensors - they thread up with the stock base/rods well. The one caveat is that their male ends are quite a bit longer than the stock Oculus rods can fit, so unless you cut down the screw bit with a hacksaw or something you'll see exposed threads where the Matthews rods attach to the Oculus hardware. For me this wasn't a big deal - they're perfectly functional - but if aesthetics are a major concern to you, this is something to note.

I have been watching the stars for nearly 5 decades now and have very slowly progressed through several backyard scopes along the way, 2 and 4 inch refractors, then my first Dobsonian back in '06, that 6 inch Dob lasted me just fine until this year, when fortunate circumstances allowed me the time, space, and money to go bigger. I am glad I did. So first of all B&H actually had this in stock, most other sites were out of stock on this and other comparable scopes of different brands. A B&H rep called me prior to shipping to confirm the order and delivery dates. It arrived less than a week later in 2 deliveries (base, then scope the next day). assembly was not difficult at all, instructions were straightforward and clear. took me about 40 min. and I go really slow...The mirrors were actually pretty close to alignment out of the box, but I did not get the scope perfectly collimated (I still need to get the proper wrenches for the secondary mirror) but I managed to get it fairly close, as the primary mirror is very easy to adjust. Then it was a wait for the weather to clear, and I FINALLY caught first light 3 wks later on new year's eve, we only had a few cloudbreaks but managed to get excellent (yet brief) views of a nice half moon and a really quick 5 minutes of Jupiter and the 4 Galilean moons, Jupiter's atmospheric bands crisp and clearly visible with a 25 mm eyepiece. I was not able to cycle through all my lenses due to weather and the new years party, but what we did manage to see with the included 25 mm was simply stunning, I can not wait for good weather to return, the collapsible design allows me to get the scope and base in the car and so far I am really impressed with the overall quality and performance of this scope, no buyer's remorse here, this is a hands-down 5 star review.

This is exactly what I expected, a typical round base metal mic stand, stock, standard, like you would figure. If that is what you want, that is what this is. I am happy with my purchase and would buy more.

I just got the TR424L as my new primary tripod and I couldn't be happier. As B&H was out of stock I ordered from PMG directly. Pros: Incredible build and craftsmanship. 42mm top leg diameter is best in class. 77" maximum height so you're prepared for most any terrain. Modular possibilities with numerous apex attachment points. Top plate quick release mechanism. The free push/pull angle lock mechanisms are much better than spring-loaded ratcheting-style legs. Built-in foot spikes. PMG makes a well priced leveling base. Truly exceptional customer service experience!! Cons: 6lbs. Depending on your situation, the 34 series may be more practical. Using PMG leveling base sacrifices the hook under the apex. Leveling base itself could use a bubble level. My biggest complaint... now I want to buy more PMG tripods! Verdict: this is the finest tripod I have ever owned.

I needed a C-stand with removable turtle base to use on my sound cart. Mounted on the cart, without the base, it serves as an antenna mast. Detached from the cart, with the base and an added grip head, it holds a boom pole for seated interviews. When I first bought my cart, these stands were on backorder with no relief in sight, so I went with the Impact version that was in stock. Not a terrible stand, but it's bulky and heavy. It does the job, but the size makes it clumsy when clamped to my cart. I finally found the Matthews stands in stock and immediately ordered one. They are sturdy, strong, and streamlined. Now, my cart feels better with the C-stand clamped to it, and I have less weight to carry when I use it with its base for holding a boom pole. There's a reason Matthews is one of the leading names in grip gear, and has been for a long time.

Most if not all mic/camera stands come with a base and post. But if you want to connect something directly onto the base, you need this post and B&H was the only place I found it. In stock, right price, fast, accurate shipping, no problems. Just what I wanted.
