Cost Of Color Laser Printer Vs Inkjet Cartridges

This is my first impression and first ownership of a color laser printer which I purchased on the recommendation of the Office Depot Sales Representative. Easy to use, a bit bigger and louder than an inkjet but lower long term cost investment for toner supplies, so over time, less cost and better product and delivery than inkjet printer. Also, it takes a little time to recover if it gets hot from a massive job.

It's great to have toner instead of inkjet cartridges. Glad these are still available for an older model laser printer.

While the upfront cost is more expensive and even the toner cartridges are more expensive. After doing some tracking and cost estimating we have found that using a Laser Printer like this unit is a cost savings over a long period of time. This is the second unit like this we have now bought for office workers because the first proved to be such a cost savings and has also given us fewer issues than the Inkjet we were using, though that could also be down to the brand. We were using HP Inket previously and switched to these Canon Laser printers currently. Do yourself a favor & get away from Inkjet!!

This was my first laser printer to replace my inkjet. There's simply no comparison in the convenience. I just click printer and go get my perfect printouts - no messing with the dried up ink cartridges. While the cost of the toner cartridges is higher, I believe that they are actually more economical due to not wasting so much ink in the cartridges - YMMV, but this is my experience.

Brother makes a great Laser color printer, so you'd expect them to make great cartridges. AND they do!

This printer replaced my inkjet. I was a bit hesitant to purchase a laser printer due to its operational cost. I have to admit that I have only owned this printer for a short while so this review would not cover the long-term operations. That being said, I can now say it was ridiculously easy to set up, which includes the wireless printing. The print quality is excellent and not even a close comparison to the inkjet printer. It is currently used for home office and I am thus far pleased with all the functions that I have used.

Im very happy with this printer.  I typically prefer the crisper printing, particularly with images, of an inkjet.  But the cost of inkjet cartridges on my Epson was too high, so I thought I would try a color laser again.  I have not been particularly happy with the color laser printers I have had in the past.  However, this one is a very solid build, pulls the paper straight, prints text extremely well and graphics good enough for me.  Paper curling is not bad at all and it takes additional paper trays.

We spent years trying to find a quality inkjet printer and finally made the jump to a color laser printer. This printer has been easy to use, connected to all my computers and phones with no effort and has been overall fantastic.

Having used inkjet and color laser printer and paper combinations for years, I opted to spend less on a large format printer (epson 1400) and more on the paper. To my surprise, the combination was successful. The coverage is even with no fingerprints in sight. With using the correct color profile and color management, the reproduction of color and tones are almost dead on.

Was having troubles with our old color laser printer. Replacement cartridges were very expensive and kept having trouble with it placing. green line at the edge. Had it fixed, only to have it doing the same thing within a week. B&H recommended an ink jet. Less expensive up front costs, brighter color, with inks being far less expensive. The machine filled all of my expectations.
