Cost Of Laminate Sheet

You could look all this stuff up online, print it, then laminate it yourself, or you could just spend $5.

Silver gelatin prints are the benchmark for black and white photos due to their longevity and beauty, however if you don't need your prints to last hundreds of years and the beauty of your prints is most important to you, I recommend Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Baryta Glossy Fine Art paper at 315GSM. I find that archival pigment prints on this Hahnemuhle sheet are virtually visibly indistinguishable from Silver Gelatin prints. As far as the cost are concerned an 8 1/2 x 11 Hahnemuhle sheet of paper is less than $2.50, and when the cost of ink is added the total cost of the print is approximately $5 versus Silver gelatin at $60-$70 plus cost for shipping. I am using both processes depending on my final goals.

Several years ago, the only cost efficient way to get Foma Classic 100 9x12cm sheet film was to order it from Germany. I have since added two Graflex Crown Graphic 4x5s and a Busch Pressman D 4x5 to my camera arsenal and am delighted that B&H stocks both the 4x5inch and 9x12cm sheet films. Film is far from dead if you have a decent scanner to convert the analog negative to a digital negative, and having great film at a reasonable price makes it all worthwhile.

Used as a trial sheet to find any unusual problems for the final picture print, I do this for cost effiecencies.

I have been printing with Epson Premium Paper semi gloss for quite some time. Buying from B&H in packages to make 100 sheets makes the cost per sheet of 13 x 19 size about $. Going with this 100 sheet package of Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster is, in my opinion equal to the semi-gloss, but the per sheet cost goes down to $ Not a bad bargin!

I heard many bad reviews about the product like, the screw holes didn't match up, and the laminate finish isn't great... But in my humble opinion it's outstanding for the price... Everything lined up perfectly and it's nice and sturdy... Glad I made the purchase... Will get the accessories to match...
