100% worth the cost. I got this specifically to live cast dance recitals and Ice shows via the Zoom application. Doing a private password protected cast, you don't have to worry about copyright algorithms shutting down your feed. How it works, crazy simple: plug it in and let it do it's thing for a bit, it automatically downloads/calibrates to your system. Then plug into the camera you want to use, launch zoom and assign your video and audio to the device (it is listed in your options when calibrated to your system) and away you go. Worked flawlessly with zoom. I used this with my 2013 MacBook Pro with BigSur OS, connected to a Canon XF300 via HDMI- and it worked flawlessly in an Ice Rink (rather cold that...) for two full shows about 2 hours each. This gobo arm was purchased to replace one that had been used to chip ice to free a grip truck out of an alley. Then some grip left it in the alley and the metal guys grabbed. I bought a new one. It works great for setting flags and such as well as chipping ice. 5 |
