I purchased this motherboard for a TrueNas build and it works with out issue. The motherboard booted right up the first time and has been humming along 24/7 for a few weeks now. I really love that this board is part of Asus's CSM line of motherboards and that a intel gigabit nic is used and not a realtek. my one criticism is that the labeling for the cpu fan header and the aux cpu fan header are reversed. I like it. - Wrecks the price/performance curve, especially for parallel scenarios. - CPU cooler looks good and is a lot more capable than others, especially OEM ones. - Attaching the heatsink to the motherboard was a little tight but not bad. - Does require a motherboard with compatible BIOS, which not all B-chipset motherboards have out of the factory. I decided to spend more for an X570 motherboard which all support Ryzen 3000 CPUs out of the box. Otherwise, you have to hope a B450 motherboard has a new enough BIOS version from the factory, or you need a spare older AM4 CPU to let you upgrade the BIOS first. 5 |
