Crazy Trouble So Hard Studio Recording

I have used this for documentary work for 2 years. It has been with me to in the studio and brought along to interviews in a shoulder bag approximately 50 times. What I dislike is the weight. It's heavy when I go one-person-band recording. I worry (and expect) every time that I will have a tube issue or some problem associated with having moved the unit out of my rack kit for setup elsewhere. Cross my fingers that it's never given me trouble or had malfunctions. The manual was easy to read and follow. This is one of the best differentiators in terms of quality in my kit and has attracted talent because the sound is leaps and bounds above client expectations. I like that I have everything in one spot for a subject of any range (quiet and shy, loud and booming) with total confidence that I can get an archive-quality recording. I have recorded into various pro recorders and ENG or compact cine cameras with it. In the future, the size and tube-only operation has led me to explore other options such as Twinfinity and Grace preamps. I will second another reviewer that Universal Audio's changes seem to depart from the tradition of this old company. I have the whole thunderbolt-powered Universal Audio Apollo 8p racks at the home studio. They are not reliable like this unit, for me. It seems like the software-based mic pres always have some annoying issue or update. I have not taken this in for a warranty, given that it's worked without trouble. 5 |

Husband has worked as a singer-songwriter and studio engineer, and has been looking hard for two years for a portable mike to take on the road, or just for capturing early bits of songs wherever he likes. This great little device from Zoom looked like it might finally fit his standards/expectations. It has not disappointed!! It is very clear, and very detailed in its recording. Download the app and test it out; on raw recording in the living room, it beat garageband hands down. This device hasn't made it into the studio yet, but record/playback on iPhone 6+ was sharp and nuanced. Stays on while plugged into iOS device, so disconnect to save device battery. Husband is SUPER happy with it. 5 |

Having a recording studio and my wife having a graphics design studio, we have come to rely on LaCie Hard drives. I have had only one failure in 25 years and we own about 30+ LaCie drives. We also appreciate the great service and quick shipping from B&H. 5 |

I like to listen to the original recording. So I think popular studio monitor is the best because this is how's the music was sound when produced. Other than a studio monitor the sound is altered in some way. I used to have a sony mdr-v6. 7506 is a little brighter. I like the the sound. The clamping is a little strong. Hopefully it will loosen up over the time. Overall this is one of a few low cost audiophile headphone! 5 |

This is my first microphone purchase. So far I am pleased with the Yeti. Great sound from what my novice ears can pickup. I am recording a book for a friend in order to post it on their website. Hoping to get as close as I can to studio quality without the studio. I actually like that it's bigger, it at least feels more sturdy. One thing I am still trying to figure out is why, when I am not recording, after about 30 seconds the headphones go out (when plugged directly into the Yeti). When I am recording it still works great, but I wonder how this would function if I were to do something (like a podcast) that I wasn't necessarily going to record. So yeah, sounds great to me, easy to use, doesn't feel or look cheap. Like it! 5 |

So happy with this purchase! I was looking for something to purchase for a music program I'm starting with a non-profit that wouldn't break the bank, this was exactly what I needed. Where we are recording is not ideal, but it's a start and I needed something that would help in some of the noise coming from the room next to our studio. This is just perfect! The kids, (they are adults, but to me they are my kids) love it as well. I wanted them to feel like they were in a real recording studio and this helps in giving them that. Built quality is great and I especially like the adapter that allows you to only need one stand, unlike the one I have at home where I have one stand for the mic and one for the reflector, since we are on a super small budget this really helps eliminate the need for another stand. 5 |
