For an inexpensive microphone stand, it seems to be solid. 5 |

I use this stand and another just like it along with a Manfrotto cross bar to hold up a heavy backdrop and it works like a dream! 5 |

This stand rocks!! It is well made, sturdy ... The stands support a lot of weight . . . using a vinyl background should be no problem. The cross bar is pretty rigid and has no sag whatsoever while fully extended. If I wanted to be *really* picky I could talk about the fact that the fit of the ends of the crossbar on the light stand tips is quite precise. (read: snug) There's nothing wrong with this but it makes setting the whole thing up by yourself a little tricky. You can't raise one end of the set up by a couple of feet and then go over to the other side and repeat. You've got very little pivot ability of the crossbar on the stand so the raising process, once you have your backdrop on involves either a lot of back and forth to get it up or some creative leaning of each stand while you extend it. It would be a non issue with an assistant. It's not hard to accomplish by yourself . . . just requires a very small degree of problem solving. Not enough of a problem to warrant downgrading the product. The case that it comes with is well made but unpadded. There are pockets for each light stand and one for the cross bar. The cross bar is composed of only two sliding sections so it's still pretty long at its shortest length. This means the case is pretty long as well. Again, not a problem. I'm very pleased with this stand. I would buy one again in a heart beat and definitely recommend it to a friend. 5 |

Bought an additional cross bar in order to link two Port-A-Stand systems into a three panel background for larger group shoots. I snip the seams off the ends of the top hem of a king size flat sheet and slide the cross bar through. Simple, cheap, easy and various colors are available. about $ per panel.Of course, this product simply works as expected. Spans 130 between two verticle stands and does the job expected of it. 5 |

I ordered this because I wanted a cheap portable kit that would be easy to transport and use on short notice. What I got was a great portable kit for a very reasonable price. The stands come with standard studs so they can be used to mount other items and actually go higher than 10 feet. They are also very sturdy and stable. The cross bar is in four 3 foot'ish long sections that take seconds to assemble. You can use 2, 3 or 4 sections to make a length that matches your backdrop accordingly. The holes at the ends of the cross bar are elongated more than enough to allow the height of each stand to be changed a considerable amount without binding the cross bar at the opposite stand. With my old system this was a huge issue. The included carrying bag is also very nice. Each of the stands and cross bar sections have their own pockets so nothing rubs together. A very nice feature for picky people like me that don't want things damaged during storage or transportation. This little cheap kit will be replacing my current system. 5 |

Was looking for a well build and sturdy support. This is it! Excellent stand and cross bar. The beauty of the cross bar is the telescopic adjustment. It can be set at any length. Other supports like the Impact Background 12 have to be set at 9 or 12' increment. 5 |

Folds over cross-members and is heavy enough to stabilize my stand carrying an Aputure light. Well-made bag with cross-zippers to prevent leakage. A good deal. 5 |

Great bag, very well made and big enough to handle multiple lightweight light stands along with my C-Stand with cross bar. 5 |
