Cubase Playback Through Computer Speakers

I have a dell inspiron 3847, came with 8 gig of ram. I'm using it for music production, cubase and a lot of vst instruments. Well the day came to add more ram. Because this computer is a bit older, it maxes out at 16 gig. The Crucial 16GB DDR3 1600, was the only thing I could find for an upgrade. These specs are not the fastest, but the mother board would not accept DDR4. Swapping the ram was easy. On restart the computer recognized there was a hardware change, went to settings and ran a diagnostic, than restarted and works great. OS Windows 10 64bit. If your doing music production, I recommend 32GB or more if your computer will accept it.

I needed a digital recorder to record telephone conversations (using a commercially available splitter in the handset line of the telephone). It is a snap to transfer the mp3 files to the computer (Win XP Pro) via USB cable. Playback via computer speakers was crystal clear. (2) I also used the DM-420 yesterday to record a concert performance ... playback over the built-in speaker was clear in the high and mid-ranges but lacking bass; however, playback via the computer speakers is excellent, including the the bass voices. (3) I also recorded voice conversations yesterday using the built-in microphone; playback through the built-in speaker is clear and even very faint background conversations are intelligible. Very happy with this product!

I use these speakers in meeting rooms of various sizes and for several purposes such as lectures, symposia, music playback, and movies. They are installed in drop ceilings, which, of course, has its drawbacks, but the response and delivery of these speakers is outstanding. I wouldn't think of going with another choice except to upgrade to the 47c/t in rooms that can handle more bass. response.

Great piece of gear! I bought it mainly for the flexibility of being able to control the playback of music from my computer to different amps and speakers. I can also mix in music from my phone (with the right connections) and generally have a lot of flexibility in the configuration and relative level settings.

To watch Tv, Record, Playback ETC. This is a must have for a kitchen computer. The kids can watch TV while they eat and it keeps food out of other areas of the house. Excellent product. Only con is that it does not produce a full screen.
