This is my 2nd Cyberpower PFC Sinewave UPS (2 computers). They give solid performance. Easy to set up. Works seamlessly with a Mac Pro and Mac Mini.

I've had this model for only a month, but so far I like it. I cannot hear any noise when I put my ear right next to it. Congratulations to Cyberpower for understanding that people want silent gear, especially if you do any audio recording in the room. I previously had another Cyberpower UPS with battery backup -- and it worked for more than 10 years. I never touched the battery, and when I replaced the old unit with the CP1000AVRLCD, it would still light up a 300-watt bulb on battery power, though the bulb did buzz, so it was probably not getting a full 300 watts. The old unit, when you powered it on, made a loud beep, which was annoying. When you power on this box (which is smaller than the old one), it makes two beeps that are only half as loud. Once it gets running, though, it's quiet. I am powering one 2009 Mac Pro and a 23-inch monitor, and the LCD display shows the CP1000 is running at about 40 percent capacity. The old box did not have an LCD screen, so it's interesting to be able to monitor the input and output on the CP1000. The output shows as almost always 120 volts, though occasionally it will fluctuate to 119 or 121. I don't know if a stable source of power will make your gear last longer, but my Mac Pro is 6 years old, has always been running through a Cyberpower box, and it has never had a problem. Maybe it's coincidence, but I am not going to risk plugging my gear into an unprotected wall socket.

Last year I purchased a rather sophisticated CyberPower gaming pc to use for my photography processing and B&H added 20TB of internal hard drive to it for photo storage purposes. This time around I had B&H install 1 TB of internal SSD into a HP mini workstation for my job and general computing. B&H once again proved their ability to deliver high quality service at reasonable prices. I live in California, but B&H has become my go-to photography and computer provider.

I have shot close to 300 pictures and the battery is still going strong. Looks like it can do at least 500 shots.

Sturdy & well-built. I've used with my 300 f4 and 500 f4; locks solid and does what it's supposed to.
