I use this 57 for any instrument or amp, specially when i've get short on specialized percussion mics. This give me a really good range of frequencies to work with. 5 |

Nice responsive cymbal. The three zones are not compatible with all drum modules. The cymbal work as a basic cymbal for my DM4 which is what i was looking for. 5 |

I use an SR18 as the basis for my drum kit when I record. As most folks know, it is capable of being a really great program-the-drums-in-advance drummer, but I've found that when I record, I work better in real time. What I mean is that I *could* create drum patterns and write them into the SR18 memory, using them as building blocks to create an internal song that would record and play back with computer-accurate perfection for live performances, but for recording, it doesn't feel as dynamic as simply playing the pads as I'm recording. As with most human beings, I don't do a perfect job, and those imperfections add a subtlety to the song that keeps it interesting. The SR18 -- along with separate tracks for the bass/snare, ride cymbal, crash cymbal, toms, and high hat -- lets me do that perfectly. At mixdown, I can adjust each component in the kit to complement the other sounds in the mix, and arrive at a magnificently realistic drum part. Love this thing! 5 |

The ride cymbal works great. Really works well with Yamaha module. Had been using a Roland cymbal, but not fully compatible with Yamaha module. Yamaha even feels better. Wish the bell was a little bit bigger though. 5 |

These mics are typically seen as studio mics, from what I understand they do a terrific job there. I purchased them to mic cymbals in a live setting. They sound great! The shock mounts were perfect for using a mic boom clamped to the cymbal stands. You can't hear any noise from the cymbal stand. If you prefer more polar pattern options you can simply buy the omni capsules for the 604 as the are also designed to work with the 603. 5 |

Very versatile. Have clipped it to both cymbal stands, as well as desks and furniture, and it holds really well like all the Stage Ninjas do (I also use the mic and camera ones). Fits my standard iPad 4th gen in it's Belkin cover nicely. This would probably be the only iPad holder I'd consider in the future as long as the build holds, which I suspect it will. 5 |
