D40 Camera Review

Use: personal It works just fine and as described. I just had to review my Nikon D40 manual to get the camera to the proper setting in order for it to function.

I use this lens on my Nikon d40 and really like it.

This lens is a must have for camera owners. I purchased the D40 kit and have been extremely happy with this lens in particular.

I use this model plate on my Nikon D40 on an Arca Swiss Z1 ballhead with a handscrew plate mount. I previously used a generic plate with no lip on the back, which was fine for landscape shots but terrible for vertical ones. The problem was no matter how much I tightened the screw holding the plate to the camera, the camera would rotate a bit on the plate itself, making it very hard to compose shots on the tripod. I bought this plate because it has the lip in the back to prevent that. I've taken it out several times now, and it's worked flawlessly. The only thing I don't like is the allen wrench screw because I'd like to be able to put the plate on and take it off more easily. (My old plate had a simple flathead screw big enough that I could use a quarter to screw it in tightly.) But this plate is small and light enough that I always keep it on the camera, and the allen wrench fits in my camera bag anyway.

We got this lense as part of a kit with the Nikon D40 camera. It supplements the standard 18-55 lense and takes great pictutres.

I purchased this cover for my Nikon D40 when I don't need to haul my entire camera bag with me. It is perfect for protecting my camera with an attached lens when it's inside my backpack. My largest lens is the 55-200mm and the cover fits perfectly over it - I'd say that a slightly larger lens would still fit, but not too much bigger. There is a small strap on the inside of the cover so you can attach it to something while the camera is in use. All in all, it's exactly what I needed!

Very nice bag. Comfortably accomodates D40 camera with lens attached, plus an additional lens and other incidental gear. I exchanged the small Domke bag for this one, and am much happier with this choice.

I was looking for an inexpensive warming filter for my 55-200 and 18-55 on my Nikon D40. This is my go everywhere camera. This filter fits the need just fine!!!
