Dac For Klipsch Speakers

I'm enjoying the Klipsch speakers very much. Seldom have I made a purchase that was so completely satisfying.

Great addition to my system, goes out to a pair of Klipsch Heresy speakers.... sounds amazing and really pushes my speakers... much better sound than anything Bluetooth speakers can provide... Old school wired sound is still the best for music...

Having been in the pro audio world for a long time (touring, recording, playing) I have been in many studios. I was looking for a pair of speakers to listen to a wide range of things... video production, music, recording, etc. I have used many brands of monitors but for this office I wanted simple. I did not want to mess with an expensive dac with XLR cables and all the knobs on the back and or being super massive in size taking up real-sate. I am using these with the Audioengine dac and the stands. I am very impressed with the clarity and true-to-sound they give. There was def a break-in period. As the hours go by, the sound is getting a bit warmer. I am not using them with the matching sub yet. I wanted to get familiar with how they sound alone before I add it, but I will be adding it soon. I tested the output with a JBL and Polk sub I have as well, and the variable RCA output is a bit weak though. They lack some bass output as other speakers of this size can do much more bass, however, it is not a true sound... so I would rather have these that are accurate and then get the bass from the sub. However, they sound great regardless. The other thing is the headroom... these things go on forever with volume. Very well built, packaged and simple. I got the white, and it is a beautiful finish. I do not use the remote at all, the volume knob for both the dac and speaker are in arms reach. You must get the dac or a dac for these to work right or you will be wasting money on not being able to listen to the full range output. Dac installed with no issues, just plugged in and worked. The rings around the woofer and tweeter though are a dark navy blue, I wish they were black. (Just my opinion). Looking forward to hooking up the sub and calibrating it all. Customer service with BH was and as always great. For the price, you cannot beat these, but remember you do need the dac, and that adds to the price and then you will want the sub. It does add up but is worth it.

I bought these to replace two smaller Klipsch speakers (they were fine...but needed bigger speakers as my patio area got bigger). WOW....these speakers actually have bass to them and fill my outdoor area with beautiful sound. I have two other Polk speaker systems in my house and could not be more pleased with all of the Polk products I own.

Installed from the ceiling and they are holding Klipsch speakers that weight 16lbs each from them and they haven't dropped at all!

This DAC does make a difference. The sound is more clear, clean, and present. I have this hooked up to the AudioEngine 2+ speakers, which have their volume control on the back. With this DAC, it's great to have the volume knob on the front. However, I lose onscreen feedback, and cannot use the keyboard. The volume knob has no marks on it, either. One reviewer said that he used a Sharpie to place a mark on it. For now, I don't want to mark it at all, so I'm learning how essentially fly blind. This is not ideal. When I first began using it, I could hardly hear it at all. One reviewer made a good suggestion that I have followed. Turn the volume knob of the speaker almost all the way up, and turn the DAC volume all the way down. This way, just a little movement of the DAC knob gives you better control, and you don't have to move it very far. Of course, it's also nice to have the headphone jack on the front. So nice not having to hunt in the back of my iMac. It's also nice that the speakers automatically turn off when you plug in your headphones. The body of the DAC is very lightweight. You will probably find that it swims around if you have it on a smooth surface. Quirks aside, it definitely works, and it has greatly enhanced my listening experience.

Wow. Wow. wow. The quality of this DAC is out of this world. I am using this DAC with my Yamaha HS8 powered studio monitor speakers. Before this iFi DAC, I thought I had purchased cheap speakers ($750 for the pair). After installing this DAC, my speakers sound like $7500 speakers. The DAC provides such depth and breadth that you think you are in a real studio with very expensive equipment. even though the front panel has a POWER MATCH and TRUEBASS buttons to enhance the audio, I find the FIXED switch on the back that passes the signal with no enhancement a better option.

I don't use these monitors to record. I use these as computer speakers to listen to music, movie and etc. I hook them up with a DAC and use RCA. The sound is very clean (I hear things in my music that I never heard before!) The high and mid are sweet. The bass is ok. I have all setting on flat and vol on 0dB. I control the vol from the DAC. I like these monitors. I listen to the A7X and it sound better, but didn't fit my budget.
