The iFi hip-dac 3 is an exceptional portable DAC/amp that delivers a warm, rich sound profile perfect for audiophiles on the go. Its ability to produce a full-bodied sound with deep, impactful bass and smooth mids makes it a standout choice for those who appreciate a lush, immersive listening experience. The warm tonal quality enhances vocals and instruments, giving them a natural and engaging presence that draws you into the music. One of the hip-dac 3's most impressive features is its powerful amplification. Despite its compact size, this device can drive demanding headphones with ease, delivering loud, distortion-free audio that remains clear and dynamic even at higher volumes. Whether you're using high-impedance headphones or sensitive in-ear monitors, the hip-dac 3 ensures you get the best possible performance. 5 |

Hi! I just both cd 60 along with stereo 70s. Nice match for both design and quality sound. But still I have a question that I am trying to answear mysel... is DAC in cd 60 better then what stereo 70s has in it? What DAC should I use between those two for best sound. What model are they... these info is nowhere to be found. Should I use rca or optical? If optical then I belive I use stereo 70s (amp dac) 5 |

It sounds as I expected! I added a DAC and the sound was enhanced. I will enjoy this speaker a lot. 5 |

The Audioengine D1 DAC works as it is advertised. Good quality sound from a reasonably priced DAC. 5 |

Having been in the pro audio world for a long time (touring, recording, playing) I have been in many studios. I was looking for a pair of speakers to listen to a wide range of things... video production, music, recording, etc. I have used many brands of monitors but for this office I wanted simple. I did not want to mess with an expensive dac with XLR cables and all the knobs on the back and or being super massive in size taking up real-sate. I am using these with the Audioengine dac and the stands. I am very impressed with the clarity and true-to-sound they give. There was def a break-in period. As the hours go by, the sound is getting a bit warmer. I am not using them with the matching sub yet. I wanted to get familiar with how they sound alone before I add it, but I will be adding it soon. I tested the output with a JBL and Polk sub I have as well, and the variable RCA output is a bit weak though. They lack some bass output as other speakers of this size can do much more bass, however, it is not a true sound... so I would rather have these that are accurate and then get the bass from the sub. However, they sound great regardless. The other thing is the headroom... these things go on forever with volume. Very well built, packaged and simple. I got the white, and it is a beautiful finish. I do not use the remote at all, the volume knob for both the dac and speaker are in arms reach. You must get the dac or a dac for these to work right or you will be wasting money on not being able to listen to the full range output. Dac installed with no issues, just plugged in and worked. The rings around the woofer and tweeter though are a dark navy blue, I wish they were black. (Just my opinion). Looking forward to hooking up the sub and calibrating it all. Customer service with BH was and as always great. For the price, you cannot beat these, but remember you do need the dac, and that adds to the price and then you will want the sub. It does add up but is worth it. 5 |

Can't understand why users and some reviewers give this fantastic little dac such low scores. Just because the software is not so good? For me it is all about the sound and here this little unassuming USB DAC excels like no other I have heard. Upmix everything to DSD 1x or 2x and use the ASIO driver via JRiver and you have perfect (and I mean PERFECT) sound. Just add decent components downstream to appreciate what this baby has to offer. I cannot recommend this product any higher - very well done Korg, and thank you. BTW, the little sibling namely the DS-DAC-100m is just as capable sound wise. I have both and use the 100 in my main system and the 100m in my office. The HP output is pretty good also for most cans. 5 |

First of all i'm no audio expert. IMHO this is one of the best portable dac/amp combo. Sound wise, this little thing produces clean, clear and crisp audio. Some people may contradict me to what i am going to say, but it drives my Senn HD650's to enjoyable levels of listening. Again this is subjective, as i listen in moderate volumes. No regrets in purchasing this. 5 |

Currently these monitors are on my desk, horizontally configured, with signal coming from a SMSL M200. Sound is what I was expecting after reading numerous reviews on monitors. The bass at 0dB (not dampened with the switch on the back) is quite robust, all sounds are punchy/clear, and imaging is great. These were bigger than I expected, because I initially was going to buy the 305p's and didn't read the dimension specs. When they arived, the boxes for each speaker was about the size of an AC window unit box. I probably could get better sound if my desk was larger and I was further away from them. My desk is 48 wide by 24 deep and if it was any smaller I wouldn't be able to fit them. Standalone speaker stands or a couple of tall nightstands could help someone get around that. I use Ableton and produce House music, listen to some funk and rap, everything sounds how I would want it to. There is little audio bleed to its sides or rear, which is great since I have a few roomates and little sound isolation in my room. I have not tried to really push them. I mostly keep the volume nobs on the speakers at 50%, and the DAC at -20dB. It's plenty loud for me at this point and I don't hear any artifacts. Another option I should consider is dropping the bass response to -3dB and then turn the DAC up to -15dB for more focus and clarity in the mids/highs for Classical, Folk, or other genres while minimizing noise pollution. 5 |
