I have the edgerouter pro, which in hindsight if I knew I was going Unifi I would have got the Unifi Security Pro, so my vlan settings didn't replicate from my router to the switch. However I had already set up my Unifi AP with the vlans, so when I plugged in the switch it pulled an IP, populated my assigned vlans, and just started working. I went back and turned off the POE on ports that didn't need it, updated firmware, assigned vlans to specific ports, and called it good. This is the way networking should be. P.S. I've heard people complaining of the fan noise, I have mine in a vented enclosure and the fan hasn't had to kick on once. 5 |
