I use this for recording low light. I record with a dslr and this really helps when recording in the dark.

Ordered for star watching in dark areas - also good for trees and educating youth about optics!

The scope is great, Star Wars technology, it’s almost a status symbol owning one. Great fun just looking around at night or shooting. Sometimes we take the scope, just the scope down to the valley to see what the cattle are doing a field away. Being able to see in the dark opens up a whole new world. I can see clearly now all those dark days are not in my way. Thank you for making the night as bright as the day. Whoo owls ATN! Jay Vandal

I got this lens to photograph the stars. I did a Zeiss star chart lens test right after I got it to check the alignment/centering of the lenses. No issues were found. I took it to a dark site and photographed the Milky Way. The resulting images showed excellent stars across the entire image with little coma at high magnification. The image I've included in this review was a 15 second exposure using the Rokinon 24mm at f/1.4 on a Nikon D5500 from a reasonably dark site. Minimal exposure processing was applied using Adobe Camera Raw then I opened the image in Photoshop and selected the landscape region to further adjust the foreground exposure to make it more visible. A slight lens aberration is evident in the image typical with glass under certain circumstances. I'm glad I added this lens to my collection.

First one I've ever purchased. It does what I want it to do. I use it in my recording studio.
