Dash Cameras That Hook On Rear View Mirrors

This is my second dash camera from Garmin. I use it for a rear view. The size is phenomenal. It doesn't attract attention. Very good software. Voice commands are very well designed and functional. It syncs with the front camera and works very well with the parking cable. The image quality is pretty good.. Higher resolution would require a lot more disk space.

This dashcam is very small and can be easily hidden behind the rear view mirror. Very good video quality during day or night. It's very intuitive to use, and therefore doesn't come with much documentation. The app is ok and allows for trimming and saving videos. Since the dash cam doesn't have a video display, you need to use the app to adjust the camera direction. This is ok for a one-time setup. It would be nice if the dash cam came with a microSD card, but that's easy to purchase and fairly cheap.

A few of the reasons why it is so great: 1) Image clarity. Both daytime and nighttime clarity is really good. 2) Connectivity. As long as the device is connected to the internet (wifi network or vehcile hotspot etc) you can view the camera feed and GPS location from your app. You can even get warnings if the vehicle exits a certain geographic area! 3) Design. The Q1000 has a small form factor and just looks unobtrusive and well-made.

I checked out a lot of reviews. I found there were more pros than cons. When I received it, I was really very easy to figure out especially when going back to some of the review and I am technically challenged. I bought it for a dash came in case of a front end accident and am thinking about get on to point to the rear for rear end accident. I went through the menu, set it on dash came and plugged it into the UBS. It always starts with the vehicle is turned on. Every thing matches up with my old GoPro camera attachment. Great camera for the money for my needs.

For dash cameras, this is the best product IMO. (It is MLC based, which is important)

I am a cinematographer who recently switched over to all mirrors cameras. since my switch, I have noticed there are a lot of additional batteries that require charging, unlike with my previous set up. This charger gives me the flexibility to do exactly what the marketing says. I am able to charge my 2020 MacBook Pro fully as well as still having the capacity to charge to Marilyn's camera batteries as well as monitor batteries and other accessories that may require charging throughout half day or full day shoots. love it love it love it
