Datacard Sp75 Plus Id Card Thermal Printer

We are a non-profit and needed a reasonably priced id card printer and this one is working great. We use AlphaCard card system. This is printer is basically plug-n-play. Make sire you install the drivers. The native Windows drivers do not play well AlphaCard card system.

Used it on some Ilford HP5 Plus after developing in ID-11. Worked as described and was able to us it twice before it wore out.

I've used ID-11 forever and know all of the boundaries for it for HP5, FP4, TX, Plus X, etc. Very stable with long (months) storage time for stock. Also very forgiving with a good curve including a long toe so you don't miss anything. HP5 is my favorite for medium and large format with ID-11. At 1:4 it has minimal grain with good contrast and no surprises. Highly reccommended.

Needed a short cable to connect thermal printer to computer. Functions well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I previously owned a different thermal printer model and had issues with the feeder and app. This Brother printer is perfect for my small business needs and fits my 4x6 shipping labels for packaging. It was fairly easy to set up and get started with the online and app features. So far I'm happy with the quality of the print and capabilities to make adjustments in app. I love not having to purchase ink for this thermal printer which saves me time and money!

These print well in my Casio CW-50 Thermal Printer and I don't ever recall having a bad burn with one of them. Although they are rated at 16x, I usually burn at 8x and have never had a problem.

I've never had a recording or playback problem with these DVD+Rs and the white inkjet coating works great with my Casio CW-100 thermal disk printer. Not all inkjet coatings work with the thermal printer but the coating on these DVD+Rs works perfectly.

I love this printer. Right selection of media to choose from and no ink to replenish (Thermal) you can print using the app for your phone or a USB cable to print from your computer. Compact and easy to use.

I love that it auto-senses the size of the labels when you load them, so you don't have to configure the software for the labels you select. Switching rolls of labels is fairly simple. This is a direct thermal label printer, so the labels do fade over time, especially if exposed to sunlight (compared to the longer-lasting, thermal transfer labels from much more expensive printers). The labels look fresh and crisp when newly printed and are great for printing postage or shipping labels. The compact size means it's always ready to go without taking up much desk space. Great value and a quality product!
