I bought this charger as a replacement to my original Canon charger. Compact AC/DC Charger for NB-5L Battery by Watson is comparable in quality to the original but almost half the price. Its definitely the best economical solution for a replacement charger. 5 |

DC Coupler DR-E17 ... attaches to the DC cord of the AC Adapter CA-PS700 ... fitting inside the camera's battery compartment to provide a constant power supply. To counter the negative reviews, this DC coupler fits in the battery compartment, but only provides power to the camera if the CA-PS700 is connected. At first, I wondered how I would be able to power on the camera with the battery door open, much less attach a tripod bracket. However, I quickly discovered that the slide that is used to open the battery door folds up and allows the CA-PS700 to connect to the coupler through the door. This leaves plenty of clearance for Manfrotto and smaller Arca-Swiss plates, and makes it easy to connect/disconnect the power brick and mains cord if needed. 5 |
