Dead Car Battery Recharge Time

I use this to recharge my backup batteries in my car while I'm still using the camera. Also it speeds up battery charging overnight by allowing the charger to charge one and to connect the camera to a USB power port on it at the same time to recharge a second battery from one wall socket outlet.

There's a lot to like about this charger: you can test battery strength (without even plugging it in to any kind of power), you can power by AC wall plug, or even by (provided) DC car-lighter plug so you can recharge batteries inside your car. I love the fact that I can change plates and recharge different batteries entirely (I just got the two independent plates to be for Nikon EL15's). You can even power a USB device at the same time, in case your digital camera or camcorder needs its batteries topped-up. There's overcharge protection that turns the device off automatically (to avoid harming batteries), as well as overheat protection. It even detects defective or shorted batteries and protects the charger. LCD screen is easy to read... charging time (right now) is around an hour, but it can take longer for older batteries. This thing weighs about 7.5oz (218g) and sits quietly in the corner doing its thing. :-)

At first, before reading the directions, I was disappointed that the jump pack could not turn over my car. Dead battery and all. However, after understanding the directions for use on a DEAD battery the pack brought engine to life better than a brand new battery ever had. Pricy, but worth it.

I have one in my car. When my wife used my car and came home she left the lights on. The next day my battery was dead. Put this on and it started right up with no hesitation. I have a Kia sorento 6 cylinder. I top it off like the batteries in the smoke detector at the time change and it stays charged. Very little loss of power sitting. I could do it once a year if I had to. IThis is for her car just incase she needs it or she can help someone else and not use jumper cables to her car.

Makes my life a lot easier..... not have to recharge one battery at a time. Gives me extend shooting time........

recommend spare back up battery for cold weather battery drain & about the time you want a shot---the battery is dead.

I bought this to help recharge the battery supply from Echoflow so I could extend my time. This one is returning twice the amount and helps offset the pull from the portable AC in my cabin. I like it’s portable and has a cover but I do plan to build a stand.
