Debate Over Surveillance Cameras

Cameras easy to use and take great pictures. I use them for hunting and for surveillance around my property. I have several cameras. 5 |

After much debate over different cameras my father and I decided this one would be the best. I've only had it since Christmas but love it. The quality is better than most things out there. I'm very excited to use it and experience all it's features. It's easy to use and understand, I love taking photos as a hobby but wanted a better camera than my Canon SD500. The difference is amazing. The pop-up flash seems a little flimsy but other than that, no complaints! 5 |

Over the past two years, I've added a Leica Q2M and Q2 to my arsenal of photographic equipment. Although I normally go out with a single camera, there are times when I want to take both cameras with me not knowing if I'll discover images best taken in monochrome or color. So, I began to search for a nondescript bag, not to big, not to small, narrow but not too narrow, that would accommodate both cameras, a handful of filters, and few other necessities. I finally decided to order the Ten DNA 13 DSLR Camera Messenger Bag in black. To date, I'm really happy with the purchase. The price point might seem a little high, but the quality of the bag, strap, fittings (especially the cool easy to flip open and close magnetic buckles, zippers and zipper pulls, water proof bottom, rain cover, and handle.....are just what I was looking for. If I put it over my shoulder it looks like a simple carry bag. Nobody would guess that it contains two Leica cameras. I've had to cut my own foam inserts to put things exactly where I want them....but that was no big deal. I like this bag.....a lot....even though it wasn't intended for the purpose I had in mind. 5 |

The VOSKER camera is a great camera. I use it for surveillance around our house and it does the job perfectly. Thankfully it doesn’t pick up every little thing either which is great. Also there is a setting where you can change the sensitivity because I know sometimes the cameras can pick up every little thing. I have my camera set on video mode and the quality of the footage is great both day and night. Also what is awesome about these cameras is you can still use them as a trail camera and what’s great is you can put them high in the tree and have them look down on the trail or a field edge. I had never used a surveillance camera before until now and there’s no other camera I would use for surveillance than VOSKER. Thanks Dustin 5 |

We have purchased two of these so far to use primarily as NVRs for a large number of IP cameras on a school campus. Licensing costs aside, Synology Surveillance Station does a really nice job making it easy to set up and scale with the number of cameras you have. We linked two together, making one the primary and the other a secondary target for recordings. Surveillance Station records direct-to-disk, and does a decent job of adjusting camera settings directly using ONVIF. We have about 50+ cameras running at resolutions from 1280x720 up to 2560x1600, some PTZ, some ceiling-mount fisheyes, mostly wide angle fixed, and everything works pretty well. We were even able to use the manual camera configuration to use some uncommon double-lens cameras. With about 26 cameras assigned to each RS422+, we see about 20-25% CPU on each on average during a typical day. We can comfortably handle 32 per unit, and supposedly up to 40 if needed. With x4 6TB drives in each set in SHR-1 (equivalent to RAID5) we have about a month or so of footage retention. The licensing is a little pricey at $50 per camera (unless you buy in bulk from some european IP camera shops...), but it is perpetual and I think worth the expense. Using two of these units, 8 cheap drives from eBay (luckily these do not suffer from the Synology whitelist) and a bunch of camera licenses, for around under $5000 I was able to build and set up a really easy to use and reliable NVR system with plenty of future expandability. 2-3 users are regularly connected on their desktops without issue. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This card is an overall, dependable memory card. The amount of space offered has been ideal for my home camera that I used to take semi-professional photographs of family, friends, & the outdoors. It has made it easier to inspect photos/videos taken by my home surveillance cameras also. It provides very clear images. I’ve had zero issues with this memory card so far. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that is looking for a memory card for there home surveillance, especially if they plan on being away from home for a long time, the storage hours are amazing!! I would definitely recommend for any professional photographers as well, or anyone that loves holding onto family memories (such as myself) this is definitely the ideal memory card for you! I have over 60k family pictures saved, I plan on purchasing extras for my surveillance cameras!! 5 |

We've been using the Purple WD hard drives for several years on our surveillance cameras. The have worked flawlessly. The price is reasonable and it's a snap to install and initialize. 5 |

We already have about 12 Ubiquiti cameras in place which we use for surveillance in an athletic facility. This was the first of this model that we have purchased. Out of the box, the first thing we noticed was the solid, quality build of this camera. It has pole and ceiling mount options which is nice. The camera connected immediately to our existing network and was easy to name and manage. Like other Ubiquiti cameras, the picture quality is very good. We placed this one about ten feet high at the end of a full sized ice rink, and - except for the corners to the far left and right - can see the entire ice surface very well. We plan to purchase more of these to cover smaller rooms and spaces as the price is right, installation is easy and the 87 degree view provides a lot of visibility in big or small spaces. 5 |

Use this in a surveillance system DVR. With 8 4K cameras on continuously, it takes several weeks to fill before the data is overwritten. Always swap out the drives in surveillance camera systems with higher capacity WD drives. Never had a problem or failure yet. Very Reasonably priced for such capacity. Highly recommend all WD drives. 5 |

On a whim, I thought I'd try using this to hold my tablets on my desk while working and watching news and surveillance cameras. Put on mini, adjustable tripods which allows me to add more devices on already cluttered desktop without adding too much footprint. 5 |
